Request, organize, and manage tax documents, including sending and receiving Form 8879 (or state equivalents) and securely storing all relevant client documentation. Follow defined workflows and procedures to ensure returns are accurately prepared, reviewed, and filed in a timely manner. Provide expert tax advice in plain, everyday language, explaining how tax laws apply to the client's individual situation. Research complex tax issues using trusted government and industry sources. Ensure compliance with IRS Circular 230, the Internal Revenue Code, Treasury regulations, and all relevant state and local laws. Maintain confidentiality of sensitive personal and financial data at all times. May be cross-trained on other product lines in order to support other queues, as needed. Additional job duties as needed. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Who You Are A seasoned tax professional with: 3+ years of paid experience preparing federal and state individual income tax returns. Proven experience with e-filing processes and online tax software. Strong working knowledge of IRS Circular 230 and applicable state tax regulations. A skilled communicator who is: Customer-focused and passionate about helping people. Able to deliver complex information clearly and compassionately.
