SCOPE OF ROLE: The Urban Farms Assistant supports the program by assisting the Director, Manager, and Program Coordinators with operational tasks, including farming, gardening, landscaping, installation and maintenance, farm product development, and assisting with workshops and special events.
II. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Support farming operations at the SUS “community farms” with tasks that include, but are not limited to planting, weeding, watering, pruning, composting, and harvesting;
• Support landscape management at SUS facilities and other locations with tasks that include, but are not limited to lawn mowing, weed-whacking, raking, and sweeping;
• Support horticultural carpentry and masonry with projects that include, but are not limited to constructing raised beds, building trellising structures, and installing water features;
• Assist in developing, making, and packaging SUS Urban Farms products, including assisting with beekeeping and honey harvesting;
• Assist and/or instruct during workshops, trainings, and other activities;
• Assist with special events, including the annual Harvest Luncheon.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
• No required education or experience, though candidates must demonstrate an interest in learning and practicing horticulture.
• Must be capable of lifting 40 lbs, and must have willingness and an ability to work outdoors in varied weather conditions, including temperature extremes, rain, and snow.
• Must demonstrate effective oral communication skills, including the ability to follow instructions, ask questions when challenges arise, and work efficiently independently and in a team setting.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
• Preferred experience in horticulture in farming, gardening, landscaping, or similar work.
• Comfort and/or experience with use of basic gardening and landscaping implements, including power equipment used in landscaping or garden carpentry is a plus.

The Psychotherapist will be responsible for providing psychotherapy to and managing the clinical needs of a caseload of adults and children living with serious mental illness. They will maintain consumer information in the electronic health record and coordinate services with other providers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provides clinical treatment in accordance with scope of practice and regulations governing Article 31 outpatient mental health clinics (Part 599 regulations and other applicable laws and regulations).
Actively monitors the integrity of consumer data; responsible for the reliability and accuracy of clinical data housed by SUS' Electronic Health Record (EHR) and Practice Management software; documents all services in accordance with SUS policies, NYSOMH regulations and all relevant federal laws; maintains the strict confidentiality of consumers currently engaged in or formerly a recipient of treatment services.
In coordination with relevant members of the SUS management team, conducts limited outreach and marketing to potential referral sources internal and external to SUS; active liaison with community service providers, hospitals, and other prospective referral sources is may be required.
Coordinates care with SUS nurse practitioners, psychiatrists and administrative staff; closely coordinates with clinicians external to SUS as appropriate.
Utilizes best and evidence-based approaches to treatment consistent with SU5' organizational culture; health/mental health integration, rehabilitation and recovery, and wellness approaches figure prominently.

Service for the Underserved, Inc. (S:US) is a dynamic social service and housing agency with 46 years of experience in providing housing and services to the most vulnerable in New York City. The Real Estate team at S:US is tasked with maintaining and expanding S:US' large and diverse Real Estate portfolio. Our team's goal is to fulfill S:US' commitment to reducing long-term homelessness by 90% and to enable all our residents to have a safe, clean, affordable place to call home, and all our staff have the right work environment to carry out the mission.
This is an exciting time at S:US as we recently announced a goal to create 20,000 affordable and supportive housing units in the next 10 years. S:US has opened our 2 largest buildings in 2025 with a total of 775 units of housing in 2025, roughly 50% affordable and 50% supportive. S:US has an additional 460 units in construction and another 2000 in predevelopment. S:US is among the two largest providers of supportive housing in New York State, and among the largest nationally.
The Director of Housing Preservation and Asset Management (DPAM) will have the expertise and expertise in the preservation of existing affordable housing and real estate project management and construction administration to supervise and lead in multifamily rehabilitation projects ($25,000-$10 million per building) including Portfolio refinancings and rehabilitations, Year 15 investor exit projects, Local Law 11 Facade work, elevator modernizations, boiler replacements and the like. The range of duties will include negotiation with government agencies (HPD, HCR, HDC, DOB), collecting due diligence items, preparing financial pro forma capital and operating budgets, capital repair scoping, bidding, consultant procurement, site walkthroughs, construction management, preparing and reviewing requisitions, and tracking budgets. The projects will include buildings owned solely by S:US and those owned jointly and with various for-profit partners. The role will supervise the Preservation Project Manager and will report to the SVP of Real Estate. The DPAM will work closely with the Director of Housing Development, Director of Sustainability, the LP Finance Group and the VP for Facilities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Research and identify funding sources.
Complete financial underwriting.

SCOPE OF THE ROLE:
The Rehabilitation Specialist union engages people with mental illness to assist them in meeting the demands of community living and maintaining their mental health by teaching them the necessary skills, and linking them to services that will support their recovery, independence, entitlement, and self-determination.
Must be able to work independently in the field and as part of a rehabilitation mobile services team with people of diverse ethnicities, backgrounds and preferences who have a mental illness and are living primarily in the community, are homeless, residing at scatter-site apartments and congregate living housing.
Responsibilities:
Engage consumers in rehabilitation and helps the consumer in developing a Housing Support Plan Facilitate and coordinate consumers' access to services, resources (e.g. housing; entitlement. Educational; vocational; spiritual; social) and recovery-based supports both within and external to SUS
Teach consumers skills that will permit them maximal independence in maintaining their mental health, income, housing and employment, as applicable.
As needed, serve as an advocate for consumers of the mobile team in obtaining benefits, managing and coordinating their medical and psychiatric treatment and rehabilitation, and overcoming stigma and other barriers to community integration
Maintain up to date, accurate, complete and timely documentation of resident progress in individual client records.
The hourly rate min is $19 and max $20.50.
Schedule: Friday - Monday 10pm to 8am

Responsibilities and Illustrative Duties:
Assesses each individual's level of function as related to their interpersonal relationships, feelings, self-esteem, stress, grief, socialization skills, support systems, and potential for participating in counseling. Develops a clinical impression and determines a mental health diagnosis in accordance with generally accepted standards of professional practice.
Develops a Treatment Plan with specific goals and objectives that include the nature, frequency, duration and modalities of the recommended therapeutic interventions that are related to the Clinic Service Request and Assessment.
Initiates a therapeutic program using counseling techniques to facilitate individual change, self-exploration, self-understanding and independence. Applies psychological and social theory to develop strategies for counseling services. Adjusts counseling approaches or styles to meet each individual's cognitive and personality traits.
Initiates or attends team meetings for individuals on their case load as needed, to discuss areas of concern or to develop, modify, or discontinue therapy. Works with family members and significant others to best meet the individual's interests and needs.
Documents all services provided following procedures determined by SASi administration and/or other certifying or oversight organizations.
Maintains a working knowledge of developments in the field of social work counseling by attending conferences and in-service programs, and by maintaining appropriate membership in professional organizations. Meets with the supervising Licensed Clinical Psychologist to discuss clinical cases and treatment methodologies.
Provides in-service training to staff, as needed, on topics that relate specifically to a diagnosis or emotional/social situation involving an individual or group of individuals.
Familiarizes him or herself with the policies and procedures of OPWDD, the Article 16 clinic, and the Agency.
Assists the Quality Assurance department as needed with completing assessments and writing reports pertaining to incidents of abuse
Provides temporary grief counseling as needed, within the agency, for both staff and people supported in the event of a death.
Qualifications:
Candidates must have received a Master's Degree in Social Work from an accredited educational institution and be currently licensed in New York State as a Clinical Social Worker. Sasi will provide the supervisory oversight to candidates who do not currently hold the “R” certification, for Psychotherapy Privilege. The candidate must be willing to work toward this certification.

SUS Wellness Works is pleased to offer a full-time Psychotherapist position at our Outpatient Mental Health Clinic. Coordinates care with SUS nurse practitioners, psychiatrists and administrative staff; closely coordinates with clinicians external to SUS as appropriate.
Utilizes best and evidence-based approaches to treatment consistent with SU5' organizational culture; health/mental health integration, rehabilitation and recovery, and wellness approaches figure prominently.
