DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The Loan Specialist II - Commercial Flood Risk is responsible for the due diligence required for FDPA (Flood Disaster Protection Act) compliance for all transactions requiring special handling Life of Loan monitoring processes related to Lender Placed Insurance (LPI) and Policy Renewals. Interfaces with Flood Vendors, Line of Business (LOB) partners, Asset Managers, insurance agents, stakeholders to drive completion and resolution of file analysis. The Commercial Flood Risk Analyst is key to ensuring ServisFirst Bank is fully assessing flood related risk. Also, responsible for processing any or all of the following: Insurance Policies for all accounts with a balance in excess of $250,000, other collateral as requested, and Exception Clearing. The incumbent will: Communicate with Flood Vendors, LOB partners, Asset Managers, insurance agents, and stakeholders to drive completion and resolution of file analysis Perform all analysis and execution of the most complex transactions related to regulated pre-close approval, and Life of Loan (LOL) servicing requirements, including identification of Flood eligible collateral Lead and contribute to the oversight of all aspects of due diligence performed for compliance, and performing customer, loan and regulatory due diligence needed at each stage of the Life of Loan process Responsible for ensuring compliance with all bank policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements Responsible for managing complex portfolio exposure related to the FDPA (Flood Disaster Protection Act) program to include the identification, analysis, and risk mitigation in support of bank Flood policies, programs, and processes Perform qualitative or quantitative analysis to minimize the possibility of loss and the potential impact for a highly regulated portfolio Participate in development of recommendations for changes and/or risk mitigation opportunities to reduce or eliminate policy exceptions Ensure portfolios are maintained to highest standard of regulatory compliance, including updating the System of record to reflect lender placement, should that occur Provide guidance, assistance, and knowledge support to other team members. Ensure all Life of Loan activities and processes (policies, letters, notices, and coverage amount) are completed, packaged and the full file is submitted for the final comprehensive quality regulatory review Collaborate with Compliance and Risk Management regarding loan level scenarios related to policy and procedure interpretation to ensure compliance. Proactively escalates issues and takes ownership of resolution path Engage with the LOB partners, Asset Managers, Flood vendors, and stakeholders to drive completion and resolution of file analysis Support training needs of other team members and employees and keep current on own training requirements UCC continuations, amendments, and terminations as needed Name changes on UCCs and notify lenders when received Insurance policies received daily Reports weekly to ensure accounts have current insurance coverage Process Vehicle Titles for name transfers and liens and track for receipt Review of Mortgage Releases Imaging UCC, Insurance documents, and loan files when needed Collateral exceptions as needed Assist with special projects as needed Responsible for being familiar with all compliance regulations and policies that are applicable to this position and follow and ensure compliance with these regulations and policies Note: Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable otherwise qualified associates/applicants with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the job. Loan packages must be prepared accurately and forwarded for further processing in a timely manner in order to ensure quality service and minimize inconvenience to the customer. Because of market volatility and spikes in loan volume, the Loan Specialist II must be able to work under deadline pressure while still ensuring accuracy. The incumbent will: Review submitted pre-closing nCino Doc Prep Memo or nCino Credit Memo and documentation to ensure all documents necessary to process the loan have been received and address all outstanding exceptions Review and clear existing collateral exceptions on renewal loans prior to moving to Doc Prep Ensure all loan requests include proper approval to include aggregate debt, floors and fee waiver approvals Review in-house loan documentation for commercial, consumer and real estate loans in accordance with Bank policy and regulatory requirements, within 12 hours of receipt of completed supporting documentation package, to include complex loans Utilize external websites and vendors to acquire information to complete required information for loan packages Ensure all internal systems (nCino, Footprints, etc.) are updated in a timely manner Upon satisfactory documentation completion of loan package, submit to Doc Prep for review Train new hires and cross train all existing employees Maintain process manual on shared drive and compose procedures for any new processes Responsible for being familiar with all compliance regulations and policies that are applicable to this position and follow and ensure compliance with these regulations and policies Note: Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable otherwise qualified associates/applicants with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the job.
