Seton Catholic School company history timeline

1997

On opening day in 1997, 83 students in Kindergarten through grade six entered a 26,468 square foot building consisting of seven classrooms and ten teachers.

2000

St Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic School opened on August 16, 2000 with 146 students enrolled in Pre-Kindergarten 3 through 4th Grade.

Initially housed in portable buildings, the school held a groundbreaking ceremony for a permanent school building on November 5, 2000.

2002

In 2002, 13 additional acres of land were purchased adjacent to the school property, and the school developed a master plan to address the need for expansion and direct its future growth.

2003

The school has held an annual gala event since 2003, with proceeds used to purchase curriculum resources and technology as well as increase the opportunities for teachers to attend professional development workshops.

2005

A new junior high and early childhood wing opened in January 2005 and the school’s administrative offices were completed in April 2005.

2006

In 2006, the Outdoor Sports Complex opened, complete with a baseball/softball field, soccer field, sand volleyball court, and walking/running track.

2008

The first building of the new campus, the St Elizabeth Ann Seton Chapel, was dedicated on March 11, 2008.

2011

In 2011, Seton Catholic Central High School became Seton Catholic Central when it opened its doors to students in 7th and 8th grades.

2014

Dedicated and opened in the Spring of 2014, The Family Center is a premier facility housing a full-size competition Gymnasium, Performing Arts Stage, Meeting and Office Space, and an Outdoor Classroom Pavilion.

2015

These include a resurfaced track, allowing Seton the opportunity to host track meets and other community events by the 2015-’16 school year.

In 2015, the school and parish opened the Parish Activity Center, complete with a gymnasium, indoor walking/running track, industrial kitchen, stage, and locker rooms.
