Role Summary
Position involves safely transporting food and supplies to various school locations according to a set schedule. This role requires loading and unloading items, maintaining the delivery vehicle, and ensuring timely and accurate deliveries. The driver also assists with food preparation, serving, and maintaining cleanliness in food service areas as needed.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Transportation: Safely operate a truck to transport food, supplies, and equipment to and from schools, kitchens, and network.
Loading/Unloading: Accurately load and unload items, ensuring proper handling and securement of food and supplies.
Delivery: Deliver items to designated locations according to a predetermined schedule, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries.
Vehicle Maintenance: Maintain the delivery vehicle in a clean and safe operating condition, performing routine checks and reporting any issues.
Food Handling: Assist with food preparation, portioning, serving, and restocking serving lines during meal service.
Sanitation: Maintain cleanliness of food storage areas, serving lines, and the delivery vehicle.

The Department: The Department of Human Movement Sciences houses both undergraduate and Master's level exercise science programs. The BS in Exercise Science (ESC) program (~400 students) aligns with ACSM knowledge, skills, and abilities and is an NSCA Education Recognized Program. The Master of Science in Exercise Physiology (MEXP) program has an applied clinical focus and is the first graduate program in the state of Wisconsin to be accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) (*************** upon the recommendation of the Committee on Accreditation for the Exercise Sciences (CoAES). The exercise science programs are also closely affiliated with multiple programs across the collaborative College of Health Sciences.
The MEXP program is currently housed at the Carroll University Center for Graduate Studies, a 55,000 sq. ft. interdisciplinary graduate teaching and research facility, however will be relocating to a new custom designed state of the art facility on the main campus in Fall 2026. The undergraduate program is located on the main campus, with recently built laboratory spaces (~5,000 sq. ft). All labs are well equipped with current technology for teaching and research activities. Equipment includes portable and laboratory-based gas analysis systems, ECG and stress testing systems, motion analysis and force plate systems, diagnostic ultrasound and EMG measurement technology.
Operated by program faculty and students, the Department houses the Carroll University Rehabilitative Exercise (CURE) Program, a fully operational clinic serving Waukesha County. CURE conducts screenings, assessments, and prescribes individualized exercise interventions for medically compromised or at-risk populations in the greater Waukesha area. The CURE program will be relocating to a new state of the art, custom designed facility in the Fall of 2026.
The College: The College of Health Sciences offers undergraduate and graduate programs through seven departments- Athletic Training, Human Movement Sciences, Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Physician Assistant Studies, Physical Therapy and Public Health, accounting for ~60% of the University enrollment. The University of Wisconsin-Platteville is inviting applicants for the External Relations and Communications Director opportunity.
The External Relations and Communications Director is a senior leader focused on strengthening the university's visibility and impact through integrated communications, government and community relations, and corporate engagement. Reporting directly to the Chancellor, the Director serves as the university's public information officer, provides leadership for the university's external engagement and public relations efforts, and works closely with the Chancellor's cabinet to support the mission and strategic vision of the university.
The successful candidate will be a collaborative leader with a deep appreciation for higher education, a passion for telling UW-Platteville's story, and a demonstrated ability to build lasting relationships with community members, elected officials, and other external partners.
This position is benefit and paid leave eligible, with a salary of $110,000 - $130,000 commensurate with experience and education.
Key Job Responsibilities:
Serve as the university's chief communications, external relations, and public information officer and as a key advisor to the Chancellor.
Prepare communications on behalf of university leadership, including speeches, talking points, and written materials for internal and external audiences.
Manage media inquiries that require institutional or cabinet-level responses.
Oversee strategic communications planning and public relations efforts to ensure messaging is aligned with the university's mission, brand, and strategic plan.
Develop and execute crisis communication plans, including drafting urgent messages and serving as part of the command staff within the Incident Command System.
Send emergency communications to the campus during critical incidents, ensuring timely and accurate dissemination of information. Train and coordinate a team of staff members prepared to assist in emergency messaging.
Work closely with the cabinet and areas of campus, such as the Foundation, marketing, and corporate relations, that regularly engage with external stakeholders.
Serve as an ambassador to local and regional communities, enhancing UW-Platteville's role as a key civic partner.
Develop and maintain strong working relationships with local, state, and federal elected officials.
Build and maintain an advocacy network that supports the university.
Monitor legislative and policy developments affecting the university and the broader Universities of Wisconsin.
Coordinate and collaborate with Universities of Wisconsin government relations staff on state and federal budget and policy matters and with the Universities of Wisconsin Office of Public Affairs, Communications, and Branding on joint campaigns and initiatives.
Advocate for UW-Platteville's interests and priorities through coordinated public relations strategies.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (communications, journalism, public relations, public policy, or similar)
7-10 years of progressively responsible experience in communications, public relations, marketing, or external affairs-preferably in higher education, nonprofit, or public-sector organizations
Track record of building partnerships with groups such as government agencies, community organizations, donors, and alumni
Experience with executive communication support (e.g., speeches, messaging, presentations for university leadership).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft audience-specific messages.
Ability to collaborate effectively with academic, administrative, and external stakeholders.
Strategic thinker with visionary leadership and strong organizational skills.
Highly adaptable and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Job Description
Viterbo University is seeking qualified applicants for possible temporary part-time teaching assignments. These positions are filled on an as-needed basis. Courses may be scheduled for weekdays or evenings. Most psychology courses are in -person.
Needs vary by semester, but most frequently we need individuals who are able to teach Lifespan Development or Interpersonal Communication Skills (i.e., counseling micro-skills).
