Barton County Feeders in Ellinwood, KS has an immediate opening for full time yard maintenance. Summary: Participate in general yard maintenance and repair. May operate various pieces of heavy equipment to level, shape, and/or distribute dirt and other materials inside and outside feed yard pens. Will also be assisting the feed department by driving a feedtruck every other weekend. Essential Duties And Responsibilities may include the following: Other duties may be assigned. Operate and maintain heavy equipment. Pull and/or relocate fencing, and install new pen fencing. Drain and clean water tanks. Set out and/or apply insecticides or pesticides under the direction of licensed private applicator. Clean and repair feed bunks (may require heavy equipment training). Dig trenches; install water lines Perform hot works (welding/fabrication). Perform sprinkler and dewatering system operation and maintenance. Perform farm maintenance including windmills. Operate cement plant. Remove dead animals from pen to designated area. Perform electrical maintenance. Maintain general yard and building housekeeping. Comply with all OSHA/Safety procedures, rules, and regulations. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Provides counseling services to individuals, groups, and families. Participates in assessment and treatment planning as appropriate. Documents all services provided and other significant behavior or incidents. Serves as a role model and source of feedback to the client. Intervenes in crisis situations using the approved Mandt System Maintains alcohol and drug standard operating procedures manual and assists with ADAS manual. Explores ADAS or other finding opportunities. Duties may include direct supervision of youth and other milieu activities as assigned. Provides structure, discipline and security as outlined the by individual plan of care to meet the needs of the client. Communicates with all staff members and shares appropriate information with appropriate staff about outcome findings. Involves staff members, when possible, in appropriate activities. Reports and maintains a referral log for patients. Capable of being on call for emergency transportation. Reports critical incidents to DCF verbally within 12 hours, written within 24 hours. Implements Saint Francis Ministries policies and follows directives as required. Follows and adheres to all pertinent Saint Francis Ministries Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's), rules, personnel policies, and procedures; related accreditation and licensure standards; and federal, state and local rules, statutes, regulations, and all term of the contract between Saint Francis Ministries and DCF. Reports unusual incidents through appropriate Risk Management, clinical and safety channels. Ensures clients' rights are protected. Makes sure all clients have received their rights and maintains a signed copy in each resident file. Is knowledgeable of and follows all safety procedures.
