A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A MACHINE OPERATOR / SPIRAL PAPER TUBE WINDER TECHNICIAN As a 1st shift Machine Operator / Spiral Paper Tube Winder Technician, your efforts are at the core of our business! You start each shift by reading your work order and reviewing the job specs. Using a ruler and calipers, you measure materials and select the correct paper size and ply. You then set up the spiral paper tube winder by loading the paper and preparing the adhesive. As the machine runs, you monitor it closely to ensure that our high standards of quality are met. Thanks to your mechanical aptitude, you're able to troubleshoot minor issues and safely clear jams. Safety is your highest priority as you operate machines, so you make sure to follow all rules. As a dependable worker, you take accountability for managing your material inventory and alerting personnel when supplies run low. You ensure that clients are happy with their custom orders by carefully counting or weighing products packed into cartons, then printing and applying labels. As someone who loves to learn new things, you enjoy the opportunities to be cross-trained in the operation of other production equipment. QUALIFICATIONS FOR A MACHINE OPERATOR / SPIRAL PAPER TUBE WINDER TECHNICIAN 2+ years of experience with setting and operating spiral paper tube winders High school diploma OR equivalent Ability to perform basic math calculations Basic computer skills Proficiency with rulers and calipers Ability to lift 80 lbs Ability to squat, lift items above shoulders, and stand throughout the shift Do you have significant mechanical aptitude?
