Sample Management Technician
to join their team. The Sample Management Technician's primary responsibility is to enter sample IDs and required tests from the chains of custody (COCs) into LIMS in a complete and accurate manner. The Sample Management Technician will receive and document samples and chains of custody (COCs) to check integrity of all aspects of the sample receipt. This position reports to the Client Services Manager.
Job functions:
Receives sample coolers and containers and documents the receipt.
Some sample containers of various sizes (250ml, 500ml, 1000ml, etc.) will be required to be opened and checked for adequate preservation.
Note
: Preservation check is for aqueous samples only. No solvents, liquids, or malodorous samples are tested in this fashion.
Creates bottle records, generates bottle labels, and labels samples.
Transfers samples to and from cold or ambient storage areas.
Maintains all required documentation with accuracy and clarity.
Removes historical samples from completed jobs and assigns samples for disposal.
Provides communications regarding sample information to laboratory departments.
Communicates with clients regarding requests.
Adheres to internal standards, policies and procedures.
May be required to answer telephone inquiries or requests for bottleware, volumes, and courier pickups.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High School Diploma (Required)
Experience in an environmental laboratory (Preferred)
Associate degree in a science-related field (Preferred)

Summary
The Quality Assurance Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the laboratory's Quality Management System (QMS) complies with ISO/IEC 17025, ISO 9001,10 CFR 50 Appendix B, and 10 CFR 21 standards. Job Functions
Maintain and improve QMS in compliance with ISO 17025 and ISO 9001 17065.

Manage accreditation audits, external assessments, and regulatory inspections.
Plan, execute, and document internal audits to assess compliance and identify risks.

Maintain training records and competency assessments.
Conduct or coordinate quality system training sessions.

Qualifications

Qualifications
Profile of the position (Requirements & Qualifications):

In-depth knowledge of National Electrical Code, UL and NFPA Safety Standards, SEMI S2 Safety Standards are desired along with any other related safety standards and regulatory requirements.

Salary & Benefits Information
The base wage or salary range for this position is $65K-$80K. Individual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate including skill set, experience, qualifications, and other job-related reasons. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Include the following: Other duties may be assigned.
Maintain a Valid Driver's License and a working vehicle (car or truck, no motorcycles) at all times
* Receives orders, obtains information, and gathers paperwork from Operations Supervisor(s) on movements.
* Ensures that all equipment is in good operating condition - calibration verification, correct and clean. This includes safety and monitoring equipment appropriate to the job.
* Reports to job-site punctually and observes all applicable company federal and state regulations and standards, Terminal, Refinery, and/or vessel requirements, including safety and measurement standards.
* Attends "Key Meetings" with external personnel ashore and/or abroad. Represents the Company by appearance and conduct. Behaves ethically at all times.
* Communicates any problems, discrepancies, or other noteworthy incidents to the Operations Supervisor and/or Dispatcher without delay
* Obtains samples, gauges shore tanks, vessel(s), barge(s), railcar(s), and/or tank truck(s) as specified per job order.
* Labels sample containers with full and correct identifying data, including location of sample, material, type of sample, safety information, time collected, etc.
* Promptly and accurately calculates quantities and completes all required paperwork and distributes copies appropriately.
* Promptly and safely delivers samples to the laboratory for analysis or turn in for retain, or client facilities for analysis or retain.
* Reviews any discrepancies with Operations Supervisor, signs and returns job order form.
* Maintains a 24-hour on-call status. Supports and participates in the Company's Business Management System (BMS). Attends company meetings as required.

Sample Management Technician
to join their team. The Sample Management Technician's primary responsibility is to enter sample IDs and required tests from the chains of custody (COCs) into LIMS in a complete and accurate manner. The Sample Management Technician will receive and document samples and chains of custody (COCs) to check integrity of all aspects of the sample receipt. This position reports to the Client Services Manager.
Job functions:
Receives sample coolers and containers and documents the receipt.
After appropriate training independently prepare samples for analysis according to SGS' analytical SOPs using basic instrumentation specific to the department and analytical methodologies
Receiving/ signing of chain of custodies
Logging in samples into LIMS Data system.
Preparing of laboratory samples for analysis.
Inputs and maintains technical information as needed to support the laboratory functions/operations.
Maintains Laboratory Notebook where applicable.
Creates bottle records, generates bottle labels, and labels samples.
Maintains all required documentation with accuracy and clarity.
Removes historical samples from completed jobs and assigns samples for disposal.
Provides communications regarding sample information to laboratory departments.
Communicates with clients regarding requests.
Adheres to internal standards, policies and procedures.
May be required to answer telephone inquiries or requests for bottleware, volumes, and courier pickups.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High School Diploma (Required)
Experience in an environmental laboratory (Preferred)
Associate degree in a science-related field (Preferred)
