This is a full-time, hourly position. Trainers will conduct a variety of assessments beginning with a preparticipation health-screening and may also include assessments of posture and movement, flexibility, balance, core function, cardio-respiratory fitness, muscular fitness, body composition, and skill-related parameters (e.g. power, agility, coordination, speed, and reactivity) to observe and gather relevant information needed to develop an effective exercise program and support client goal attainment. Assessments should be performed at the beginning and after a training program to measure client progress towards improved physical fitness. You'll wow us by masterfully performing the following key duties and responsibilities: Trainers create exercise programs following a progression model, using the baseline assessment as the starting point of a client's physical abilities, and framing the program to fit the individual personally. Trainers also provide education on many other aspects of wellness, including general health and nutrition guidelines. As a group leader and facilitator, the Counselor is responsible for day-to-day programming and supervision of their group. Our program accepts all children where they are, and Counselors should strive to be inclusive and sensitive to the program goals of inclusivity, building healthy relationships, and providing fun, meaningful activities, and interactions. Counselors will also help with transportation from schools near the program, which includes driving a 15-passenger van.
