This position is responsible for performing various duties within the warehouse, including picking, staging, loading, repackaging, putting away, or transporting all orders according to company standards. (S)he may use powered and unpowered equipment.

A Day In The Life

Job Summary
Safely operates a tractor-trailer to transport product between Mary Kay and contracted facilities adhering to Department of Transportation regulations. Must have Hazmat endorsement on CDL through specialized training to assess and classify hazardous material and documents against DOT regulations. Properly packs and labels hazardous material for air, sea and land shipments according to predetermined specifications designated by U.S Department of Transportation, International Maritime Dangerous Goods, and International Air Transport Association government regulations. Safely operates a forklift and material handling equipment for the movement of inventories. Ensures proper preparation of picking, labeling, staging, loading and bracing of both hazardous and non-hazardous materials to meet all quality standards and regulatory requirements. Performs equipment yard moves at Mary Kay facilities. Performs manual picking functions to consolidate smaller case quantities for shipment preparations. Utilizes various computer systems and RF system applications to complete operational tasks and data entry to produce shipment documentation.
Responsibilities
* Shuttles trailers from Mary Kay locations and vendor locations while maintaining hazardous materials endorsement on Class A CDL (Commercial Driver's License) and ensuring proper adherence to applicable local, state and federal laws in adherence to DOT regulations of product by truck. Require strict compliance with EPA, OSHA, DOT, IATA, IMDG and FDA rules and regulation for transportation of finish goods raw materials, components and hazardous material. Performs trailers yard moves at May Kay facilities.
* Picks and stacks merchandise for domestics and international shipments according to picking allocation utilizing Radio Frequency (RF) scanning equipment. Checks part numbers, batch codes, expiration dates, country of origin and case counts that are pulled utilizing PC terminal to access and verify specific information regarding merchandise committed to a shipment. Performs cycle count function to ensure inventory accuracy. Ensures that pallets are stacked and wrapped according to specifications. Places manually and automatically produced identification labels on pallet to indicate destination, pallet ID and the destination it is committed to. Properly packs and labels hazardous material for air, sea and land shipments according to predetermined specifications designated by U.S Department of Transportation, International Maritime Dangerous Goods, and International Air Transport Association regulations.
* Shipping: Monitors shipping requests and prioritizes picking/pulling, staging labeling and loading of all requested materials for timely delivery. Communicates driving coverage gaps to warehouse leadership. Ensures all shipments are packed on heat treated pallets as required b. The Machine Operator - Restock Driver will be responsible for retrieving inventory from both floor locations and up-stock storage for Product Transfers and deliver to the designated area for stocking or shipment. ABOUT THE ROLE
The Machine Operator - Restock Driver will be responsible for retrieving inventory from both floor locations and up-stock storage for Product Transfers and deliver to the designated area for stocking or shipment. The Restock Driver is required to operate machinery following all safety rules and regulations.
COMPENSATION AND SCHEDULE
$20.60 hourly
Monday - Friday (2PM - 10:30PM), Full-Time, Non-Exempt
WHAT YOU WILL DO
* Operate material handling equipment needed to perform primary role i.e; Forklift, Cherry Picker, Stock Chaser (Cart), Pallet jack, Scanners, Tablets and Company WMS.
* Perform and complete daily safety inspection check list for all equipment used.
* Maintain productivity minimum requirements CPH, and work with a sense of urgency
* Retrieve inventory from up-stock and floor locations and deliver to designated areas
* Operate barcode scanner and use warehouse software
* Act professionally and remain focused while working
* Safely operate all warehouse equipment
* Follow directions of leadership
* Perform cleaning activities as required
* Maintain a safe and clean warehouse
* Maintain a positive attitude
* Additional responsibilities as assigned by management
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FORE
* Must be 18 years of age
* High school diploma or equivalent preferred
* Ability to read and speak English
* Must have reliable transportation
* Ability to follow detailed instructions
* Ability to operate a warehouse equipment and machinery
* Must be comfortable using electronic devices
* Can lift and carry up to 50lbs on occasion with or without reasonable accommodation
* Basic math skills, ability to count, add, and subtract numbers quickly and accurately
* Ability to operate warehouse machinery - Forklift/Cherry Picker Driver Experience
* Must be flexible with start and departure time changing
* Ability to work overtime when needed

PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT
Must be able to wear proper safety equipment if required (examples include safety toe shoes, bump caps and safety vest). Note: PPE is company-provided with a $100 stipend on safety-toe shoes after 90 days of employment if required for your specific role - not all roles require specific PPE. Please check with your HR/Training team for details on if your role requires specific PPE.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
In performing this job, the employee must stand and walk for an 8+ hour shift. Additionally, the position requires frequent grasping, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, and handling of items with hands and arms, up to 50 lbs. Moderate hand-eye coordination, near vision, far vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, adjusting focus and hearing.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT
* The job will be performed entirely in the warehouse where conditions can range from warm to cool.

As Sample Warehouse Coordinators, we support corporate and photo studio teams across eight Williams Sonoma brands including: Williams Sonoma and Pottery Barn. Our warehouse handles everything from small items like napkins and candles to large pieces like kitchen islands and fireplaces. We operate like a library-samples come in, get checked out, returned, and eventually retired. It's a continuous cycle that keeps creative and operational teams moving.
Overview of the Driver role
This hybrid role combines driving and warehouse support. The Driver/Warehouse Associate ensures timely delivery and return of samples between our Richmond warehouse, the corporate offices in San Francisco, and special project stores around the bay area, representing the company professionally while operating branded vehicles.
Responsibilities include safe driving, following company safety and conduct policies, and supporting warehouse operations including but not limited to receiving, organizing inventory, preparing deliveries, and processing returns. Completion of a 6-week driver training program with Lead Driver and pass DOT required road tests; or one year of active driving experience

Criteria
High School diploma/ GED or equivalent preferred
Experience driving a 26' box truck or California Drivers License “C.” *preferred qualification
Acceptable driving record and clear understanding of traffic laws and regulations including how to read maps and road signs
Good communication skills, business professional demeanor, and detail-oriented
Ability to lift heavy furniture, up to and more than 50 pounds effectively with assistance from a partner
Minimum of 3 years driving experience is preferred.
Previous experience with furniture or household goods preferred
Forklift Certification * preferred qualification or willingness to learn
Working knowledge of basic PC and Microsoft office such as Teams and Outlook
Ability to perform work onsite in the Richmond office.
