Oversees orientation of new employees to assure appropriate clinical performance and service delivery.Staff Training and Development: Assists in scheduling and organizing clinical and technical in-services, customer service inservices, mock codes, and pharmacy fairs. Provides ongoing clinical and service support and supervision.Corrective Action: Promptly brings to the attention of the Supervisor any performance issues needing to be addressed. Works with Supervisor to follow corrective action process as delineated by Human Resources policy and procedure. Coaches and counsels as needed.Evaluations: Communicates performance expectations to staff, assesses developmental needs and initiates action plans to address issues and build skills. Maintains schedules of evaluation dates. Prepares, distributes and collects pre-evaluation paperwork. Prepares evaluation for Supervisor's review and presents to Supervisor before due date in the agreed upon time frame.Leadership: Consistently pro-active in team development and in problem-solving to meet department goals and support changes. Our Scripps System-wide Resource Services (SSRS) department supports the entire Scripps Health system. As a member of the float team, you can fill vital roles on assignments throughout the system to provide critical coverage for employee's leave of absences, sick calls, and peak Service demands while gaining experience in a variety of environments. Responsibilities include: · Providing direct patient care within the scope of practice. · Patient care encompasses assessment, planning, implementation of a care plan, and evaluation of patients' progress toward expected outcomes. · With quality, patient- and family-centered care in mind, the RN takes primary responsibility for the care provided to patients by the Care Team under their supervision. · Collaborate with other members of the patient care team to ensure optimal patient care. Float Pool: RNs self-schedule in 4-week blocks to meet shift and weekend requirements. This position covers all 5 campus sites and 3 urgent cares Full Time Position- 3 shifts a week, to include at least 1 weekend or 2 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule Travel Requirements\: • Work between the four (4) Scripps Health hospital campuses\: Encinitas, La Jolla, San Diego, and Chula Vista and 3 urgent cares.
