Position OverviewThe primary purpose of the Tech III, MHE position is to oversee and repair material handling equipment (MHE). Duties will include assisting in battery charger repairs, battery changes for MHE, repair of plugs and tips of batteries and chargers, watering and washing batteries, acid spill clean up, battery rack cleaning, battery area sweeping and cleaning, and other general maintenance activities. This position will also assist the building and refrigeration maintenance teams. Duties will include assisting in general building repairs, electrical troubleshooting and repairs, refrigeration systems repair and maintenance, and other general maintenance activities. Although this position states no travel required, there may be times when support is needed at other facilities and travel may be asked of the associate. Must hand load trailers when requested by Management Personnel. Ensure proper product packaging is complete before placing in proper location. Must adhere to normal work schedule, starting and stopping times and company attendance/tardiness policy. Must be able to work necessary overtime. Assist in other jobs and duties as needed. Perform any duties you are OJT certified to do. Helping to keep the work area clean. Qualifications: Must be able to sit on a Lift Truck for long periods of time. Must pass vision requirements for operating lift truck. Must be able to mount/dismount lift truck 80 to 90 times per shift. Must be able to work in a warehouse environment. Must be able to physically handle up to 50 pounds multiple times per shift. Must be able to handle rough backing and latex-based products Must Be able to perform the duties of an LTO II. Must be able to read and write numbers. Must be able to communicate clearly. Must have general computer knowledge. Must be able to write legibly. Must be able to perform simple mathematics.
