    Job Title Reliability Electrician III - C Shift (Night Shift) - Thomson Facility Plant 22- $32.81 To perform the functions of Electrician. Essential Duties (considering job knowledge, job environment, effort, manipulative skill, judgment, safety knowledge, and responsibility): 1. Complies with procedures found in Job Requirement Book. 2. Performs all job duties using safe work methods. 3. Complies with Corporate Absenteeism and Tardiness Policy. 4. Works normally scheduled days adhering to starting and stopping times. Works overtime as required. 5. Comply with all environmental procedures and programs. 6. Other duties as assigned by Supervisor. 7. Troubleshoot all machinery electrical problems and make necessary repairs. Determine cause of electrical failures and take necessary steps to prevent recurrence. Determine if mechanical condition exist that cause electrical failures and communicate the problem to the proper personnel. If necessary, instruct and assist in the repairs as requested by supervision. Should a motor change out be required, determine correct rotation before leaving machine. 8. Responsible for the electrical and mechanical of facilities support equipment during off shift working hours. Should assistance be needed to make off shift repairs, contact the proper personnel. 9. Perform preventive maintenance as assigned by supervision. 10. When inventory controlled items are check out of the supply room to replace defective item on the facility or production equipment the, defective item is to be tagged with equipment name, number, Shaw Part number and indication of problem then returned to supply room for repairs and or replacement. These are items such as PLC, PCB, motors, inverters and other electronic devices that are repairable. 11. Maintain a clean and safe work area and perform all work in a safe manner. Follow the Lock-out and Tag-out procedures when performing work on equipment. Should management request that you perform an unsafe practice, you should contact the Health/Safety & Environmental Manager for approval. 12. Willing to work various hours on any shift or shifts as may be needed. 13. Employee will use the company's workorder management system "CMMS" to perform any task and or repairs of equipment (all work requires a workorder). 14. Attend weekly safety meeting or read the weekly safety message if made available through Health/Safety & Environmental Manager. After reading safety message or attending meeting you must sign off on the weekly safety message sheet. 15. Should temporary repairs occur this will be noted on the work order. 16. Serve as battery charge attendant. 17. Serve as Calibration Source for Electrical Calibrations. Non-Essential Duties (considering job knowledge, job environment, effort, manipulative skill, judgment, safety knowledge, and responsibility): 1. Assists other Maintenance department personnel as needed. Physical Requirements: 1. Ability to sit, stand, or walk for eight (8) to twelve (12) hours. 2. Ability to bend, stoop, squat, lift, carry, and reach frequently. 3. Ability to lift packages weighing up to seventy-five (75) pounds with assistance. 4. Ability to distinguish between colors. Other Requirements: 1. Must have a high school education or its equivalent. Must have degree or formal training as Electrician. 2. Must have at least two (2) years experience as Electrician - Industrial Electrician preferred. 3. Must possess good interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills. 4. Actively participates in the Quality P.R.I.D.E. Process. 5. Must be able to work holidays, weekends, and overtime as required. 6. Must be able to work without close supervision. 7. Must demonstrate basic mechanical knowledge. 8. Must successfully complete assessments as prerequisite. Training Requirements: 1. Must complete orientation training session. 2. Must complete job requirements training as defined in the training procedures. 3. Must complete EQA/Pride Training. 4. Must complete Quality System Training. 5. Must complete MSDS/Chemical Right To Know Training. 6. Must complete ARC Flash Training (GP5292). 7. Must Complete Diversity Training. Tools, Equipment, & Material Requirements: 1. Responsible for safety equipment issued including safety glasses and earplugs. 2. Responsible for materials and supplies issued. 3. Responsible for equipment necessary to perform assigned tasks. 4. Must provide required mechanical hand tools. Safety & Security Requirements: 1. Must maintain a safe and clean work area at all times. 2. Must report any unsafe conditions to supervision. 3. Must report all accidents no matter how slight to supervision immediately. 4. Must wear personal protective equipment at all times while in the designated areas. 5. Must comply with all plant and department safety rules and regulations.
