Responsibilities The Cloud Solutions Architect shall be responsible for the following: · Design and implement scalable, cloud-native microservices for a mission-critical system across multiple secure cloud environments. · Develop and maintain architecture artifacts, including system diagrams, data flows, network diagrams, and integration interfaces. · Lead technical decision-making for microservice design, containerization, Infrastructure-as-Code, CI/CD, and secure coding practices. · Provide technical leadership and direction to development and DevOps teams, ensuring alignment with the mission-critical system's architecture and technical roadmap. · Ensure microservices meet performance, reliability, security, and scalability requirements. · Collaborate with Customer Product Owners, technical leads, security personnel, and stakeholder groups to refine requirements, address risks, and ensure alignment with mission needs. · Incorporate required security controls into system and microservice design, including documentation inputs, accreditation artifacts, and vulnerability remediation. · Support integration between new microservices and existing legacy systems until full migration is complete. · Guide implementation of cloud services, container platforms, and cloud best practices. · Participate in design reviews, architecture briefings, and technical presentations to Customer leadership and partner organizations. · Support development teams in implementing automation, resilience patterns, and repeatable design frameworks. · Ensure all microservices meet the Customer's Definition of Done, including documentation, testing, peer review, and acceptance criteria. Requirements: · Active Top Secret Security Clearance · Minimum of 10 years of experience in Information Technology, with progressively increasing responsibility in complex IT environments. · Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Technology or related areas (Preferred) · AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Preferred) · Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) (Preferred) · Demonstrated experience architecting and deploying microservices-based systems in secure cloud environments. · Hands-on expertise with cloud services used for distributed systems (e.g., compute, container orchestration, object storage, and managed databases). · Proficiency with containerization and orchestration technologies including Docker and Kubernetes. · Strong programming experience in C#, Java, and Python. · Experience ensuring security in cloud architectures, including encryption, identity and access management, auditing, and logging. · Experience developing technical documentation such as system design documents, development plans, and integration specifications. · Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor cross-functional technical teams within an Agile environment. · Experience presenting technical information to senior leadership and stakeholder groups. · Experience supporting secure federal or enterprise systems, multi-environment deployments, or national security-aligned programs. (Preferred) · Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and DevSecOps toolchains. (Preferred) · Experience working within SAFe, Scrum, or Agile-at-scale organizations. (Preferred) · Experience integrating or modernizing large-scale enterprise systems, particularly those involving high-volume data or distributed architectures.
