The MaintenanceTechnician skilled requirements within the apartment community:
+ HVAC: repairs, cleans, replaces, etc.
+ Plumbing: repairs, replace parts, installation (sinks, toilets, faucets, etc.)
+ Carpentry: repairs and installs doors, shelves, countertops, locks, etc.
+ Painting: drywall/plaster repairs, painting
+ Electrical/Appliance: lighting, wiring, power circuits, replacing switches, lamps, etc.
+ Machinery: repair and maintain chillers, belts, pumps, fans, etc.
+ Other duties as assigned
+ Most importantly is the ability to provide exceptional customer service
Requirements:
The MaintenanceTechnician required and preferred qualifications within the apartment community:
+ 1-2 years of required experience in Commercial Property or Multi-Unit Residential Property.
+ This position requires a High School Diploma/GED. 3-4 years of experience can offset minimum educational requirements for this position.
+ Preferred certifications for this position include HVAC (depending on property), Electrical, or Plumbing.
+ This position may require a valid driver's license depending on the needs of the property.
+ Required skills: self-motivated, team-player, communication, interpersonal, attention to detail, customer service, and personal accountability.
+ May be required to work weekends - Saturday and Sunday.
Compensation
Commensurate with Experience

A MaintenanceTechnician with Bell, performs a wide variety of maintenance, repair, groundskeeping, and other interior and exterior maintenance duties for the community under the supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor. What you'll do to make a difference:
Always show respect for residents and community staff, providing excellent customer service
Perform routine interior and exterior community maintenance, as well as equipment maintenance as scheduled and requested
Respond to all repair requests and maintenance concerns from residents and staff
Report equipment malfunctions and breakdowns as well as any hazardous conditions to the Maintenance Supervisor in a timely manner
Maintain resident privacy and receive proper authority before entering resident apartments
Ensure that all maintenance items are kept in a safe area to prevent injuries
Attend in-service training and education sessions, as assigned
Work with vendors as instructed, such as landscaping, painting, asphalt, etc.

What you bring to our team:
Minimum of 18 years of age
High School degree or equivalent
Understanding of and alignment with Bell Core Values
1-3 years of previous maintenance experience in a similar facility preferred
Basic understanding and ability to repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical, basic carpentry, and mechanical systems
HVAC, EPA, and/or CPO certifications may be required in many communities, based on staffing levels

Strong customer service skills
Availability to work weekdays, evenings, and weekends
Physical requirements of the job:
Walking, bending, reaching, climbing, and lifting to 80 lbs.

We are seeking a floating MaintenanceTechnician for 2 communities located in Brea and Yorba Linda, CA, approximately 6 miles apart supporting a total of 225 units. The MaintenanceTechnician will report to the Community Manager.
