HVAC Sheet Metal Apprentices
to join our team! The
HVAC Sheet Metal Apprentice
will perform general sheet metal duties as required with supervision.


HVAC Sheet Metal Apprentice Job Summary

Perform general sheet metal fabrication and installation duties with supervision.

APPRENTICE 3 (2-3 year)
Do all types of small jobs alone with supervision including add on air conditioning, furnace change-outs, humidifiers, air cleaners. Can install all types of normal residential, commercial, industrial HVAC systems with supervision. Able to impart trade knowledge to and lead a helper. Can coordinate work with customer and other trades. Can install outside metal. Can weld light gauge sheet and lightweight angle iron frames. Can complete jobs successfully in terms of labor and material budgets. Can document approximately 6,000 hours of employment. Other duties as assigned
APPRENTICE 4 (3-4 year)

Application for certification at local jurisdictions as required. Know fundamental design and can successfully complete all jobs as per CMS mechanical standards. Can document 8,000 hours of employment. Support the total quality effort. Identify and respond to the needs of internal and external customers 100% of the time. Work within the guidelines of the safety and employee policy. Upon graduation, obtain Denver Journeyman Heating and Ventilating Certificate. Other duties as assigned

Minimum 18 years of age High school graduate/GED Mechanical aptitude Willingness to learn through on the job training and technical school courses Reliable transportation to and from work required
Pay Range:
$23-$30/hr. (Depending on skill and experience.) -- Benefits offered: Health, Vision, dental, 401k.

How you will contribute:

Duties of this position would include fabricating, extensive material handling, and assembling ductwork systems for heating, ventilation, & air conditioning. Sheet metal workers select the gauge and type of sheet metal according to the product being fabricated and their knowledge of metals and their properties.

What you need to qualify:

Prior experience as a Machine Operator is preferred. Sheet metal apprentice applicants must have a high school diploma or its equivalent, and must meet the required norms on aptitude tests. You can stand out above other candidates by demonstrating the ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment, displaying basic mechanical skills, and having good problem-solving skills. Essential Duties



Assists with the assembly and installation of sheet metal products. Makes adjustments and alterations as needed. Conducts assigned daily job requirements with the utmost safety, quality, and productivity in mind. Responsible for skilled use of tools, equipment, and materials pertinent to the sheet metal trade. Keeps tools and work areas in a clean and orderly manner. Familiarizes self with project task safety plans, documentation, practices and procedures and executes them during the work day. Has and maintains proper use of all Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) and safety equipment. May provide guidance to less experienced colleagues. Completes trade related training as required. Performs other duties as required.



Minimum Requirements



High School Diploma or GED required. Craft training is preferred. 2-4 years of experience as a Sheet Metal Apprentice
