Key Responsibilities: Install commercial HVAC ductwork, including rectangular, spiral, round, and specialty metal systems. Fabricate sheet metal components using shears, brakes, and other fabrication tools as needed. Install hangers, supports, and equipment following engineered plans and mechanical drawings. Set rooftop units, VAV boxes, air handlers, and other HVAC equipment. Seal ducts, test airflow, and ensure systems meet quality and performance standards. Work with other trades to coordinate installations and avoid conflicts. Read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, and specifications. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area in compliance with company and OSHA standards. Train and assist apprentices or junior installers as needed. Qualifications: 3-5+ years of commercial HVAC sheet metal installation experience required. OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification. Strong knowledge of HVAC duct systems, fabrication techniques, and installation standards. Ability to read blueprints and shop drawings to determine location of HVAC ductwork placement. Assemble HVAC ductwork pieces for installation at the jobsite, as necessary. Place hangers and supports for HVAC duct.
