We are looking for PressOperators for our
2nd shift
. Shift hours are as follows;
2nd shift Monday-Friday 2:40pm to 11:10pm
The PressOperator will sets-up and operate manual and CNC controlled presses. Sets-up and operate mechanical, hydroform, bladder, brake and hydraulic punch presses.
Other duties and responsibilities include
Assembling, installing, and aligning dies in press according to specifications;
Adjusting ram stroke to specified length;
Initiating and operatingpressoperations detecting any misalignment or malfunction;
Inspecting work pieces for conformance to specifications and adjusting machine to correct errors;
Cleaning and lubricating machines;
Blanking and forming sheet metal components using mechanical and hydraulic presses;
Forming sheet metal components using manual and CNC controlled brakes;
Documenting print and process sketch dimensions as required. Inspection of dimensions using applicable measuring instruments;
Producing set-up sheets that allow for repeatability of the process;
Interpreting blueprints and sketches;
Performing set-ups with little supervision;
Communicating processing concerns with Engineering;
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Qualified individuals must have
Two (2) years' experience in a machine shop/sheet metal processing manufacturing environment.
Two (2) years' experience in the set-up and operation of presses.
Ability to read blueprints and use simple measuring tools is also required.
