What's the role?
Act as Senior Market Risk focal point for front-office and senior stakeholders
Understand supply and demand fundamentals, including regional/locational price differences, fundamental drivers of changes in these spreads, historical market direction and trends/underlying fundamental causes
Design and analyze independent stress-test evaluations/scenario analysis of the portfolio that align with current risk-appetite and asses if limits are “right-sized” for growth
Evaluate new business opportunities by providing independent deal assessment including strategic/portfolio fit, limits impact evaluation, analysis of portfolio performance in various scenarios, identification of risks associated with the new deal, and back-testing strategies in collaboration with other Market Risk groups and the Deal Valuation team. Where applicable, provide peer review and challenge to deal proposals for other T&S businesses
Analyze performance or hedge effectiveness/back-tests of trading strategies, identify multiple factors driving position and profit and loss changes and provide insight to stakeholders and consumers of risk data for context
Develop and refine the fair economic valuation approach and provide steer on usage of market risk reserves
Regularly and independently evaluate known key deal inputs and identify/document shortcomings with internal evaluations
Provide daily, insightful, commentary of key portfolio activity including market intelligence, exposure changes and new deal activity
Ensure adherence to mandated exposure and risk limits and provide guidance on actions to be taken to reduce risk if necessary
Develop strong relationships with Shell Energy Americas commercial counterparts and possess deep end-to-end understanding of trading strategies, associated exposures and future growth aspirations for the trade desk supported
Collaborate with other support functions (e.g. Finance, Technical Accounting) for deal support and general portfolio queries
Support internal/external audit requirements
What we need from you
Must have legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis
Bachelor's Degree; preferred focus in Mathematics, Economics, Engineering, Science, or other relevant field
5 or more years' working experience in a trading environment related to power and/or natural gas
5 or more years of commodities market risk experience, preferred power and gas, including but not limited to: understanding of VaR methodology, valuation of non-vanilla option with physical constraints, design and implement stress testing scenarios, set different types of limits to monitor/control risk taking activities, design reserve methodology, etc.
Hands-on experience on long-term energy transactions, tolling agreements, renewable power purchase agreements, capacity agreements, contractual flexibilities, and non-linear products
Strong data analysis skills: hands-on experience using statistical analysis tools, programming languages and business intelligence tools
Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal), including an ability to concisely explain complex concepts to non-specialist stakeholders in terms of intent and application
Learner mindset: innovative and creative, excellent critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities
Candidate must be able to work in Houston, TX, relocation is available for the chosen candidate if needed
What we offer
The base salary range for this position is $122,000 - $182,000 per year. Individual pay will be based on various factors such as relevant work experience, education, certifications, skill level, seniority, and internal equity.
For regular full-time or regular part-time employees of the Company (participating companies as listed in the Summary Plan Description), insurance coverage options include medical, dental, vision coverage, life Insurance, Business Travel Accident Insurance, and Occupational Accidental Death Benefit programs. Employees also participate in a company pension plan and a 401(k) plan. Paid leave includes up to 6 weeks of paid vacation time, up to 11 paid holidays, and parental leave offering 16 weeks of paid leave for birthing parents, and 8 weeks of paid leave for non-birthing parents.
Additionally, employees are eligible for short-term disability leave for up to 26 weeks at 100% or 50% of base pay as well as Long-Term Disability insurance. Shell also offers other compensation such financial reimbursement for adoption, wellness, education, and personal learning expenses, and some roles are eligible for discretionary long-term incentives. For interns, eligible benefits include medical, dental, and vision coverage, life insurance, Business Travel Accident Insurance, and Occupational Accidental Death Benefit programs; participation in a 401(k) plan; and paid leave for up to 11 paid holidays. What role you will play in our team
The Market Risk Analyst position is responsible for monitoring trading activities for compliance with Market Risk Management policies and developing and maintaining tools for Global Trading activities. You will be responsible for independently identifying, measuring, and reporting trading gross margin, exposures, and the market risk of the portfolio of transactions that are executed and owned by the Commercial organization. You will work with a dynamic, global team in a high-visibility role that provides advice to the Commercial organization on risk appetite, risk limit utilization and market risk mitigation strategies, and risk assessments and insights to senior management.

Execute daily market risk processes and generate risk reports, collaborating closely with Global Trading teams to manage market risk

What role you will play in our team
The Market Risk Analyst position is responsible for monitoring trading activities for compliance with Market Risk Management policies and developing and maintaining tools for Global Trading activities. You will be responsible for independently identifying, measuring, and reporting trading gross margin, exposures, and the market risk of the portfolio of transactions that are executed and owned by the Commercial organization. You will work with a dynamic, global team in a high-visibility role that provides advice to the Commercial organization on risk appetite, risk limit utilization and market risk mitigation strategies, and risk assessments and insights to senior management.
What you will do
* Act as Market Risk focal point for front-office and senior stakeholders. Develop strong relationships with Commercial stakeholders and possess deep end-to-end understanding of Global Trading strategies, associated exposures and future growth aspirations for the trade desk supported
* Understand supply and demand fundamentals, including regional/locational price differences, fundamental drivers of changes in these spreads, historical market direction and trends/underlying fundamental causes
* Show a strong commitment to market risk management principles, including being proactive, transparent, and open to debate with Global Trading as necessary
* Independently assess and advise on risk profiles from the trade to portfolio level (e.g., risk reward trade-off, optimization of constrained risk, liquidity, market fundamentals, and market sentiment sensitivities)
* Ensure adherence to mandated exposure and risk limits and provide guidance on actions to be taken to reduce risk if necessary
* Execute daily market risk processes and generate risk reports, collaborating closely with Global Trading teams to manage market risk
* Provide daily, insightful commentary of key portfolio activity including their implications for market intelligence, exposure changes, and new deal activity
* Collaborate with Global Trading support functions (e.g. Finance, Accounting) for deal support and general portfolio queries
* Ensure Global Trading data integrity by validating positions and reconciling any inconsistencies with responsible traders
* Review plan for hedging and provide support to develop Global Trading limits. Ensure that the proposed transaction and associated hedges can be properly valued and reported by the risk management system of record
* Further develop and build out Risk reporting and ad-hoc analysis tools using advanced computer skills (e.g. cExcel, VBA, SQL, Python, R, Tableau, Power BI)
* Participate in month, quarter, and year-end closing processes
* Work losely (daily) with refinery coordinators and optimizers, product schedulers and crude traders. to validate production data and trades impacting inventory positions and generate hedging signals

* 2-4 years of experience in financial, energy or chemical risk management
* Strong knowledge of crude oil, refined products, natural gas, and/or freight markets, as well as other energy and traded markets
* Strong understanding of physical trading, derivatives, and financial products
* Excellent quantitative and analytical skills
* Excellent proficiency in Excel, SQL, and quantitative programming languages such as Python

**What role you will play in our team**
The Market Risk Analyst position is responsible for monitoring trading activities for compliance with Market Risk Management policies and developing and maintaining tools for Global Trading activities. You will be responsible for independently identifying, measuring, and reporting trading gross margin, exposures, and the market risk of the portfolio of transactions that are executed and owned by the Commercial organization. You will work with a dynamic, global team in a high-visibility role that provides advice to the Commercial organization on risk appetite, risk limit utilization and market risk mitigation strategies, and risk assessments and insights to senior management.
**What you will do**
+ Act as Market Risk focal point for front-office and senior stakeholders. Develop strong relationships with Commercial stakeholders and possess deep end-to-end understanding of Global Trading strategies, associated exposures and future growth aspirations for the trade desk supported
+ Understand supply and demand fundamentals, including regional/locational price differences, fundamental drivers of changes in these spreads, historical market direction and trends/underlying fundamental causes
+ Show a strong commitment to market risk management principles, including being proactive, transparent, and open to debate with Global Trading as necessary
+ Independently assess and advise on risk profiles from the trade to portfolio level (e.g., risk reward trade-off, optimization of constrained risk, liquidity, market fundamentals, and market sentiment sensitivities)

+ Execute daily market risk processes and generate risk reports, collaborating closely with Global Trading teams to manage market risk
+ Provide daily, insightful commentary of key portfolio activity including their implications for market intelligence, exposure changes, and new deal activity
+ Collaborate with Global Trading support functions (e.g. Finance, Accounting) for deal support and general portfolio queries
+ Ensure Global Trading data integrity by validating positions and reconciling any inconsistencies with responsible traders
+ Review plan for hedging and provide support to develop Global Trading limits. Ensure that the proposed transaction and associated hedges can be properly valued and reported by the risk management system of record
+ Further develop and build out Risk reporting and ad-hoc analysis tools using advanced computer skills (e.g. cExcel, VBA, SQL, Python, R, Tableau, Power BI)
+ Participate in month, quarter, and year-end closing processes
+ Work losely (daily) with refinery coordinators and optimizers, product schedulers and crude traders. to validate production data and trades impacting inventory positions and generate hedging signals

In this role, you will assess, monitor, and report market risks across Vitol's dynamic trading portfolios, providing quantitative insights that support risk management and commercial decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyze and monitor market risk exposures across portfolios, including VaR, stress testing, and scenario analysis
Develop, implement, and enhance quantitative risk models
Support deal structuring and option modelling for complex transactions
Collaborate with trading, risk, and technology teams to ensure robust risk measurement and reporting
Prepare regular and ad-hoc risk reports for senior management, highlighting key risk drivers and portfolio sensitivities
Identify and communicate emerging risks and market trends specific to commodities
Support the development and maintenance of risk systems, tools, and dashboards, leveraging Vitol's internal platforms
Contribute to the ongoing improvement of risk management frameworks, policies, and procedures
Ensure compliance with internal risk limits and regulatory requirements
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or higher in a quantitative field (e.g., Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Engineering, Physics)
Strong understanding of energy/commodity markets, derivatives, and risk management concepts
Proficiency in quantitative analysis, statistical modeling, and programming (e.g., Python, R, MATLAB)
Experience with risk measurement techniques such as VaR, stress testing, and scenario analysis
Experience in deal structuring and option modelling for energy or commodity markets
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, global environment
Direct experience in energy, commodities, or financial trading, with a focus on power and gas, is highly desirable

The Rate Analyst II is an experienced professional with knowledge of and some experience with regulatory filing principles, practices, concepts, and theories. Provides rate related services in the areas of regulatory compliance, tariff administration, rate design, cost-of-service, load research, unbilled calculation, forecasting, fuel cost adjustment, avoided costs, and strategic planning. Support the grid resiliency program by coordinating quarterly and semi-annual compliance reporting from across the various lines of business, provide the calculation of semiannual grid resilience rates based on the projected revenue requirements, coordination of LPSC semi-annual prudency review.

Overview of Role
Redburn Atlantic is seeking a Corporate Access Associate to join the Corporate Access team in our New York office. An essential function of the position is that the employee be on site in the NY Office to assist our Sales & Trading teams in person.
This is an junior level position and the ideal candidate will have basic understanding of the financial industry, ideally gained from 3+ years of experience and exposure to Financial Markets. The eventual hire will be joining at an exciting time for the firm as we embark on an ambitious growth plan in the US Equity Market.
Responsibilities
Assist the Corporate Access team in their day to day operations
Work in tandem with the Access and sales teams to assist in organizing exemplary corporate roadshows, reverse roadshows, conferences and sales briefings with RA Corporate clients and investor clients
Attend and transcribe occasional sales briefings with both covered and non-covered companies, such as IA leads, focusing on development for Pitch Invitations
Assist in creation of pitch decks for corporate targeting discussions including pulling shareholder registers and arranging analysis in PowerPoint
Collect feedback from investors to work on process/efficiency improvements
Organize ‘post-mortem' conference calls with companies to discuss improvements and solutions to outstanding issues for future events
Coordinate on deal roadshows including liaising with Equity Capital Markets, Redburn Management, Equity Sales & Analysts, and other brokers involved in the transactions
Maintain and update Access/Client related roadshow data in our CRM Systems (Tier 1), Corpaxe and Internal Confirmed events diary
Create formal “blue” invitations for corporate roadshow group meetings and conferences using internal software
Occasional travel will be needed during NDRs to support with recording comprehensive meeting notes
Organize corporate roadshow lunches (including making reservations, sourcing and booking private rooms and table reservations for roadshows, ordering food for corporate meetings, conference food service, etc.)
Various Administrative tasks included in the Access process (sending invites for events, maintaining confirmed corporate events diary, creating roadshow schedule documents, solicit and collect investor feedback following roadshows, arrange and book cars hotels, etc. for corporate roadshows)

Education and Qualifications
