I have over 30 years of experience in electric utility business where I have focused on distribution engineering, construction operations, and customer service. I have played major roles in the large scale budgeting of both capital and maintenance work along with construction planning tools and managing to complete this work. I have participated and lead corporate level teams in the management of Safety, New Business, Transportation, Inventory, and Reliability processes.

I have lead several large scale restoration efforts including those following hurricanes, ice storms, wind events, etc. I have managed the assessment process, dispatching, resource attainment and movement, restoration priority, and OMS.

I have participated and lead Six Sigma improvement initiatives and earned my green belt. I am a Professional Engineer registered in the State of Virginia and I am a long standing Senior Member of the IEEE.

J. Michael Aulgur is a Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at Shenandoah Valley Electric Cooperative and is based in Harrisonburg, Virginia. He has worked as Consultant at Jewish Community Centers Association of North America; Communications Associate at Department of Mental Health, Mental Retardation and Substance Abuse Services; and Communications Specialist at Oklahoma Office of the Attorney General. J. attended NRECA between 2018 and 2018, Virginia Commonwealth University between 2011 and 2013, and North Carolina State Grange between 2000 and 2003.
