Some Primary Responsibilities Include: Directly supervises volunteers in the Activities Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Must demonstrate the knowledge, creativity, and skills necessary to provide activities appropriate to the age-related interests of our residents served. Must be a supportive team member, contribute to and be an example of team work and team concept. Must have patience, tact, a cheerful disposition and enthusiasm, as well as the willingness to handle difficult residents. Must be able to relate information concerning a resident's condition to nurse or supervisor.
