Essential Functions: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions. · Administer national, state, and district assessments throughout the year in order to evaluate students' abilities and design group and individualized teaching plans and lessons to meet the needs of their assigned grade band. · Develop/Write Individualized Education Plans, organize and lead required scheduled meetings (IEP, progress monitoring, etc.) and utilize technology/software to track students' progress while maintaining a clear record of the student's academic progress in conjunction with each student's team. · Select, adapt and design learning materials, lesson plans, teaching strategies and activities to teach skills based on interests and motivation to address each students' individualized needs. · Inform parents about their student's performance and potential problems as well as interpret student's educational needs and progress. · Complete all necessary paperwork to be in compliance with the state and district requirements with respect to applicable statues and regulations, including due process safeguards and the Missouri State Plan. · Coach/mentor paraprofessionals and classroom assistants who work with students within their assigned grade band. · Collaborate with each student's support team (i.e. dedicated Assistant Teacher, BCBA, OT and SLP) to create comprehensive intervention plans including the management of student's behavioral patterns, language/communication, and motor/sensory needs. · Foster and promote a cooperative working climate, maximizing productivity and employee morale Competencies: Special Education Teacher (Autism focus) candidates who believe they fit Sherwood Autism Center's culture are encouraged to apply! Position oversees all aspects of fund development for the organization, including event planning - sponsorship & management, individual donor giving & cultivation, grant writing & management, and CRM management. The position is the lead staff member for community outreach, PR, networking as means to broaden the YWCA St. Joseph network of support. Primary Duties and Responsibilities: Marketing and Communications • Lead development and design of YWCA materials including but not limited to newsletter, email campaigns, direct mail appeals, annual data reports, program brochures, flyers, press releases, and event promotions. • Lead social media campaigns by planning, coordinating, and scheduling regular content. • Comply with and uphold National Branding Standards as set by YWCA USA and partnership agreements, i.e. United Way of Greater St. Joseph. • Represent YWCA St. Joseph at various community and regional events, including speaking on behalf of the organization at various tabling events. Resource Development • Work with CEO and CFO to implement Annual Fund-Raising Plan to meet all budget requirements. Research and identify grants (County, State, Federal, Local) opportunities for YWCA programs. Work with designated department staff to prepare applications for submission and once grants are awarded follow up with all required contracts and subsequent reporting. Develop strategies to encourage new or increased individual donor contributions. Cultivate donor relationships - build trust & engagement Create opportunities to engage donors o Manage all aspects of annual campaigns - material prep, mailings, solicitations & thank you • Responsible for the integrity and management of agency CRM - Salsa CRM o Develop protocol for how donors are entered and thank you letters are sent out. o Develop protocol for “prospects” and how to track and manage engagement. • Provide analysis and recommendations as needed to address any funding concerns to CEO and CFO. Events • Implement all aspects of fundraising events to achieve both funding and relationships Lead committees, work competitively with committee chairs and appropriate staff Develop marketing materials and implement event promotion. Administrative • Prepare necessary reports for Board meetings, committee meetings, annual report, etc. • Attend staff meetings and trainings as required and/or assigned. • Commitment to the YWCA mission of Eliminating Racism and Empowering Women. • Other related duties as required and/or assigned. Qualifications: • College Degree and/or 3 years' experience relevant to the position. • Previous experience in fund raising/grant and proposal writing. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; demonstrated ability to prepare funding proposals in a clean and compelling manner. • Strong interpersonal and speaking skills favorable to networking, building relationships and making presentations. • Self-motivated individual, detail orientated, organized and a strong team player. • Access to private transportation, valid driver's license with insurance complying with minimum agency standards • High level of energy and time commitment for demanding events including some weekend and evening hours. • Knowledge and expertise in database systems, donor tracking, data analysis, and electronic reporting, etc. • Ability to maintain accurate records, databases, reporting, etc. Working Conditions: • Forty (40) hour workweek with flexibility to meet clients' needs and/or deadlines. • Work schedule includes evening hours. • Employee works in an office environment and is protected from weather conditions and contaminants. • Some on-call responsibilities may be required.
