Mechanical Engineer Summary The Mechanical Engineer is accountable for the end-to-end design, development, and optimization of specialized automated machinery used in nitrile glove production, leveraging SolidWorks/CAD software to conceptualize and detail mechanical assemblies. Key duties include performing engineering analysis (stress, thermal, fluid dynamics) to validate design integrity, selecting appropriate materials and industrial components, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate mechanical systems seamlessly with electrical controls. This role drives continuous improvement by troubleshooting mechanical performance issues in existing equipment and ensuring all new designs are thoroughly documented (BOMs, drawings) and comply with relevant industry safety and quality standards. Key Responsibilities Design & Development: Conceptualize, design, and detail mechanical components and assemblies for new generations of glove manufacturing equipment using SolidWorks or similar CAD software. Perform engineering calculations (stress, tolerance analysis, flow dynamics, thermal transfer) to validate designs and ensure performance and safety. Select appropriate materials, purchased components (e.g., bearings, actuators, sensors), and manufacturing processes (e.g., machining, welding, casting). Optimization & Improvement: Analyze existing machinery performance and implement design modifications to improve efficiency, reliability, cost-effectiveness, and ease of maintenance. Troubleshoot and provide technical support for manufacturing and field service teams regarding complex mechanical issues. PRIMARY PURPOSE The Dental Sterilization Tech supports the performance of each dental provider and auxiliary staff members by ensuring that tools, equipment, and clinic environment are kept sterile and clean per the organizations standards. The Dental Sterilization Tech communicates regularly with the Dental Director to provide updates regarding patient and clinic flow while ensuring patient coordination is maintained to meet the needs of patients from registration to discharge. This role is perceived as a stepping stone to becoming a Dental Assistant, with the expectation that any incumbent receives their Ohio Radiographer Licensure within 6 months after date of hire.
