Job Summary The Food Service Director manages the daily operations of the foodservice department and provides leadership, support, and guidance to ensure that food quality standards, food safety guidelines, and customer service expectations are met. Responsible for all training and quality control while adhering to established policies and procedures and following all current federal, state, and local regulations. Required Qualifications Minimum three (3) to five (5) years of experience managing the food and nutrition services department in acute care, long term care, or hospitality industry. Minimum education: Associate degree in food service management, food and nutrition, nutrition and dietetics technician degree, culinary arts degree, or related field. Must be able to speak, read and write English to communicate effectively with others. Current ServSafe certification. Must be able to work flexible hours and days. Basic computer skills with the ability to maintain records and complete reports as required, including web-based reporting. Knowledge of purchasing, food handling, preparation, service, and operation of all kitchen equipment. Strong background in safety and sanitation compliance.
