To instruct new personnel, students, and other members of the hospital community in proper procedures relating to the Cytogenetics Laboratory including; the use of UHIS (Cerner) and LIS (CoPath) order entry and result review screens, new tests additions to the test menu, upgrades to current systems, and any new systems incorporated into the Hospital or Cytogenetics Laboratory under the direction of the SL-5 Associate Technical Director. Will act as a resource to less experienced staff.
Responsible for troubleshooting, emergency repair of instrumentation and data archiving of the imaging system.
Oversight of QA functions and monitors. Ensures staff compliance with all regulatory agency standards. Takes corrective action as needed. Insures the validity of test results concurrent to any identified quality control problem. Brings non-conformances to the attention of the Cytogenetics Laboratory' Associate Technical Director SL-5 and /or Section Head, as soon as possible.

Qualifications
Required (as evidenced by an attached resume): Bachelor's degree in Clinical Laboratory Sciences or equivalent. NYSED Licensed Clinical Laboratory Technologist. Minimum of six years of Clinical Laboratory experience in Cytogenetics (including chromosome analysis) with two years' experience in supervisory/administrative capacity or equivalent, e.g., training technical staff, knowledge and experience with Laboratory Developed Test (LDT) validation, and maintaining automated instrumentation (slide preparation and/or slide scanning platforms). Excellent oral-written communication.
Preferred: Master's Degree in a related field. Experience in maintenance of instrumentation utilized within a Cytogenetics Laboratory. Experience with CoPath software applications. Experience with UroVYsion FISH. Microsoft 365/office software suite.

SUMMARY

Manager including, but not limited to: opening and closing the store; directing the activities of store personnel; ensuring proper adherence by store employees to agency policies and procedures, CARF standards, safety and security regulations; ensuring that all sales transactions are rung up and reported accurately; ensuring that donated goods are processed appropriately; ordering store
supplies and truck delivery; and checking security of building. In dealing with infractions or unusual situations, ShiftSupervisor must seek assistance from supervisor or Human Resources, as appropriate and report any infractions or unusual situations to the Store Manager.
Maintain store records, as required.
Immediately report any suspicions or allegations of fraud to supervisor.
Comply with all CARF, Agency and store policies and procedures.
OTHER DUTIES
Employee will be required to perform bank transactions necessary to store operations, e.g. depositing daily receipts, securing rolled coins or specific denominations of bills, etc., and must have access to transportation for travel to/from designated bank.
Employee will be included on Alarm Responder Roster for assigned store/location. Must respond upon notification from alarm monitoring company, in-person, to alarm calls that occur before/after typical hours of business operations. Employee must follow established procedures for responding to an alarm call and must have access to transportation to travel to/from store at such times. Employees must provide personal telephone and/or cell phone information in order to be available to receive alarm calls and must maintain ongoing phone service. Based on employment classification, employee will be paid in accordance with Agency Policy for time spent responding to alarm calls.

The Assistant Lead is responsible for assisting the Department Lead in overseeing the day-to-day operations of their department and ensuring employees meet company goals through motivation and engagement. This key position provides a pathway to the Department Lead role.
This position will adhere to and promote the company mission while operating within the confines of our company's core values. All Assistant Leads will contribute to team success under the guidance and direction of the Department Lead.
Consistently creating results for customers, teammates and the company
Responsible for ensuring the customers are greeted courteously and receive a high level of customer service
Lead, motivate, and manage a team to ensure excellent customer service and maximum efficiency.
Ensure smooth operation of equipment and maintenance of the facility
Provide outstanding customer service and resolve customer complaints and issues in a timely and professional manner
Manage inventory, ordering, and supplies to ensure adequate stock levels
Train new staff and ensure ongoing staff development to maintain a high level of performance
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
