I have flexibility. I had great pay. I had opportunity for advancements. I work for enthusiastic and energetic managers that were excited and willing to train me for store openings.
I had to do a lot of grunt work that the employees that work for shiftsmart didn't really want to do. It wasn't really in my job description but I did it anyway with a smile.
Daily pay.
I never met the CEO personally. I don't even know the CEO's name.
I couldn't venture to say. There really isn't much of the culture. It's gig work.
I did not have an interview.
There was no representation of diverse demographics in my organization. It was simply gig work.
What brings me the most Joy at work is my paycheck and going home after the bell rings.
They’re really aren’t any
You work very hard for very little thanks the Circle K employees don’t do any side work. They expect a Shiftsmart to do everything meanwhile treating them poorly.
The only perk is you’re only gonna be there for four hours and then you can leave
You don’t have any correspondence with the CEO and the leadership team doesn’t really concern themselves with the day-to-day shifts and what goes on at the stores.
If you want to improve the culture of the company, maybe some personal interaction which can be done because they contact the stores to verify if you were there? So this is not just an app you’re dealing with There are people behind the app, but they only seem to reach out to you when it benefits them.
There is no process for Shiftsmart. Circle K stores are so desperate for anybody that’s not a thief. They’ll take anybody that works.
Unfortunately, the pay it Shiftsmart is similar to the pay across-the-board for this type of job. Unfortunately, working for Circle K it’s a bit more demeaning because of the upper management and the way they treat their own staff as well as Shiftsmart.
This is a really valid question for something like Shiftsmart. You’re pretty much tired as a self-employed employee. The Circle K stores themselves have such a hiring problem that you’d be all day trying to figure out the demographics of these stores.
I worked for Shiftsmart to help a couple of the managers out that I had become friends with through working at Circle K for one year, but unfortunately, Circle K has such a hiring employment problem that these managers are absolutely flooded with work and no employees and no help from there district management. There isn’t much joy for working at Circle K.
