Shindigz company history timeline
In 1926 Hubert Stump founded Stump Printing, Inc. (the original name of the company) in South Whitley, Indiana, a small town located just outside Fort Wayne, Indiana.
In 1962, Stumps moved to a new manufacturing and distribution facility located in South Whitley, Indiana.
In 1990, Shep and Wendy Moyle purchased Stumps.
In 1996, Stumps pioneered the first website devoted entirely to the Prom and party market.
In January 1999, Stumps unveiled the world's first on-line party superstore, Shindigz.
Shindigz was named "Entrepreneur of the Year" by Ernst and Young in 1999 and one of "Indiana’s 100 Fastest Growing Companies" by the Indiana University Kelley School of Business.
In 2019, Shindigz moved its corporate headquarters to downtown Fort Wayne and renovated a 110 year old former department store into an open and creative work environment in the heart of DTFW.
15, 2021, Shindigz told employees and customers that it was temporarily suspending operations “due to the impact of Covid on (its) business and an unforeseen financing issue with (its) bank."
