Description and Responsibilities The Childcare Worker creates and maintains a safe and stimulating environment for children (ages 1-5), while providing care and activities for children's learning programs in a structured setting and to assist with program planning and coordination. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Planning and carrying out recreational activities for all ages of children, including family groups. Inviting mothers to participate, as appropriate. Help develop a non-punitive atmosphere in the Children's Program by assisting mothers and children in learning means of non-violent conflict resolution. Implement individual plans for children, as appropriate. Maintain appropriate records and progress notes on children. Assist mothers in developing parenting skills.
