May perform all levels of:
* Plumbing repair, replacement, and new work to include fixtures, fittings, lines, etc.

* Masonry repair, replacement, and new work to include sidewalks, driveways, drainage structures, etc.
* May perform welding and small engine repair.
* All levels of painting applications, preparation of surfaces, scaffolding, etc.
* Preventive maintenance to include air conditioning equipment.
May oversee inmate crews in assignments of basic construction.
Operates equipment safely.
Uses hand tools and operates motorized tools.
Loads and unloads equipment and materials.
Sets up safe work zones and ensures safety precautions on and around the work sites.
Provides regular progress reports to Facilities Director.
Responds to emergency situations.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Regular, dependable and punctual attendance is an essential function of this job. High School diploma or GED and two (2) years of experience in one or more of the skilled trades, (e.g. plumbing, pipe laying, carpentry, electrical, mechanical, masonry, air conditioning, painting, etc.).
Valid Florida Class E Driver's License (Must maintain for the duration of employment).
Work is primarily completed during normal business hours (Monday through Friday 8am - 5pm); however, schedule flexibility is required to effectively perform the requirements of the position. May be required to work weekends, evenings and holidays.
In the event of an emergency, natural or manmade disaster the employee will be expected to work.

Place, remove, or maintain underground utilities as directed, including labor-intensive tasks such as carrying materials, jackhammering, shoveling, tamping, and installing pipes, ducts, or cables.
Perform trenching, missile boring, hand-hole placement, fiber optic cable installation, and related restoration work.
Locate and identify underground wiring and cabling.
Conduct job hazard analyses daily or as conditions change.
Assist in securing the work site, equipment, and materials at the end of each shift to ensure public and job site safety.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations, including protecting public and underground utilities.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS / ABILITIES:

* During the mobilization process, the laborer will assist in offloading the dredge, the slurry pipe, dewatering equipment, and any other support equipment necessary for the mobilization of the job.
* Assist in setting the dredge into the water, cabling and assembling the machine, and fusing or bolting together the pipeline.
* Assist in setting up the dewatering equipment and/or Geo-tube placement, depending on the configuration of the job site and dewatering process.
* Assist in the dredging operations which include moving the dredge, checking and adding polymer as needed to the chemical injection system, taking periodic samples of the slurry, assisting in fueling, greasing, and checking all of the mechanical equipment, working the geotubes to make sure that they are dewatering properly, and any other job site tasks that are requested.
* Assist the dredge operator in cleaning the cutter head, bunkering fuel, and preventive or corrective maintenance to the dredge. While all operations are ongoing, laborers will have the capabilities to learn other positions such as dredge operator or equipment operator to improve their skills which will lead to promotions in positions.
* Once dredging operations are complete, the laborers will assist in cleaning all equipment, disassembling all equipment, loading all equipment, and doing final clean ups to restore the customer site.
Requirements:
* Must have some experience and/or a background in working outside in an upland or marine construction style environment. (Mining, dredging, drilling, earthworks/excavation, land clearing, offshore, under or above ground utility, heavy civil, etc.).
* Must be able to work in extreme heat, extreme cold, and on the water. Job sites range from very remote to industrial plant environments.
* Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
* Must be authorized to work in the US.
* Valid driver's license is preferred.
* Must be able to complete tasks with minimum supervision.
* This is a 100% traveling position so must be willing to travel.
* Must be able to work out of town for 21+ days at a time, including nights, weekends, and some holidays are possible.
* Equipment Operating Experience a plus.
* Mechanical knowledge a plus.
* Knowledge of operating a small boat a plus.
* Dredging and dewatering knowledge a plus.

JOB OVERVIEW:
As a member of the team, you will be the face of Wire 3 in the communities that we intend to serve and responsible for providing the homeowners the best experience possible working in or around their property.
This is a full-time hourly position, expected to work at least 40 hours per week. This position operates in an outdoor environment and is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions including rain, humidity, high temperatures, and high wind. The outside work environment will vary throughout the day including changes in terrain, traffic, urban settings, and/or rural settings. Exposure to moderate to loud noise levels. This position is subject to the Federal Department of Transportation (DOT) drug & alcohol testing regulations as outlined in 49 CFR Part 382 and/or 49 CFR Part 199.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Report directly to the crew leader or foreman.
Load and secure materials or equipment for transport from the show-up yard to job sites.
Set up equipment, including drills, water tanks, and machine grounding.
Place, remove, or maintain underground utilities as directed, including labor-intensive tasks such as carrying materials, jackhammering, shoveling, tamping, and installing pipes, ducts, or cables.
Perform trenching, missile boring, hand-hole placement, fiber optic cable installation, and related restoration work.
Locate and identify underground wiring and cabling.
Conduct job hazard analyses daily or as conditions change.
Assist in securing the work site, equipment, and materials at the end of each shift to ensure public and job site safety.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations, including protecting public and underground utilities.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS / ABILITIES:
Knowledge of NESC, OSHA, and applicable state and local codes.
Ability to recognize priority issues and escalate them appropriately.
Strong attention to detail in maintaining safety and operational procedures.
Willingness and ability to work in all weather conditions.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
Valid driver's license with a good driving record required.
Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) preferred (higher wage scales apply to CDL holders).
