Your familiarity with natural stones as well as synthetic materials such as quartz will assist in creating custom repairs to unique damage. Attention to detail is key in repairing small damage to stone surfaces. Preferred Qualifications: Experience working with your hands - This could be in construction, manufacturing, painting, or even a personal hobby Experience working in facilities maintenance can be a big plus, but is not required An ability to identify, compare, and recreate colors - Understanding color and how to match color is a large part of what we do. CHILDCARE WORKER (Onsite) Hubbard House is seeking a Childcare Worker who has a passion for early childhood education and helping children grow in positive ways. The Childcare Worker will work with children ages Birth to 5 years. The Childcare Worker must maintain a safe learning environment and provide direct supervision while following DCF childcare regulations. Following daily schedules and curriculum is also required. Employee will be working on heavy civil and highway construction sites. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. The position regularly works near moving mechanical parts and in outside conditions that include inclement weather, heat and humidity, and exposure to dust and asphalt. Physical Demands The position lifts heavy objects, walks and stands for long periods of time and performs physical labor under adverse field conditions. The employee lifts, pushes, pulls or carries objects and uses abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue. The position requires good manual dexterity (hand, hand with arm, two hands) and multilimbed coordination. The employee must have excellent stamina.
