In this role, you will support road construction and maintenance activities while ensuring the safety and efficiency of all operations. This position requires both physical labor and willingness to learn to operate equipment. Key Responsibilities: Perform general labor tasks such as digging, shoveling, lifting, and site cleanup. Prepare construction sites by removing obstacles, compacting space, and moving materials. Safely direct traffic around construction and maintenance zones. Operate construction tools and equipment efficiently for daily tasks. Use appropriate safety gear including headgear, gloves, safety glasses, and clothing at all times. Follow all safety guidelines and health regulations during operation and on site. Ensure construction equipment and tools are cleaned, maintained, and stored correctly. Provide assistance to foremen, operators, and other team members as needed. Operate roller equipment safely and proficiently to compact soil, asphalt, and other materials. Conduct daily safety and maintenance checks on assigned equipment. Stay alert and aware of surroundings, especially when working on public roadways. Complete all assigned tasks efficiently and within project timelines. Willing to learn new tasks and equipment. Take on additional duties as assigned to support team and project goals. Requirements Qualifications: Must be at least 18 years old. Must have reliable transportation to and from job sites. Previous experience operating roller or construction equipment preferred. Ability to perform physically demanding work and lift heavy materials. Willingness to work outdoors in all types of weather. Strong work ethic with a focus on punctuality, responsibility, and safety.
