Our Geotechnical Services division which includes earth retention and shoring as well as deep foundations is currently hiring skilled laborer's who are looking to join a premier geotechnical division. The laborer's primary responsibilities include working with others as a team on the deep foundation construction crew. ________________________________________________________________________________________________ Duties and Responsibilities: * Work as a team and communicate openly and consistently with all clients, inspection/engineering firms, management, and fellow colleagues to discuss aspects of the project, clarify the tasks, or gather ideas. * Handle, attach and remove rigging from piling, pile hammer and hammer leads. * Climbing leads to thread piling, alignment of pile and equipment, welding, heavy equipment operation and drill tender duties. * The ability to run equipment such as telehandlers is preferred but not required. * Position pile and operate the pile hammer to drive pile. * Climb leads to thread piling and alignment of pile. * Measure, cut, and splice steel piling; and other associated welding (top plates, driving shoes, stingers, cross bracing, etc.). * Bolts, clamps, and tack-weld parts to secure in position for welding. * Signal cranes and other heavy equipment to ensure safe moving around site. * Technical Knowledge associated with soil nail/tie-back operations, and shotcrete preferred. * Maintain insurable driving record. * Always ensure a safe and healthy work environment. ________________________________________________________________________________________________ Education and/or Experience: * High school diploma or general education degree (GED). * Previous experience working in construction * Working experience within deep foundations and/or Geotechnical construction projects preferred Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. * May frequently be required to walk long distances over uneven ground. * May frequently be required to stand for long periods, sit, climb, balance; stoop; kneel; crouch; or crawl. * May frequently be required to push or pull equipment. * Needs to be able to communicate well to receive and follow instructions, and understand safety requirements. * Must frequently be able to lift and/or carry 0 - 50 pounds and occasionally lift up to 100 pounds.
