Lorie Davis is a Chief of Staff at Shippensburg University and is based in Shippensburg, Pennsylvania. She has worked as Associate Director Career Development Center at Gettysburg College; Executive Director, Career,Mentoring, Professional Development Center & Strategic Intiatives at Shippensburg University; and Area Coordinator at Elon University. Lorie studied at Shippensburg University between 1995 and 1998 and Kutztown between 1991 and 1995.

I am proud to have more than 20 years of experience in law enforcement, including several years of operations management. I’m a strong leader with a reputation for building and managing a well-trained and disciplined unit focused on public safety and committed to by-the-book expertise in all aspects of policing.

My experience encompasses every facet of law enforcement, including criminal investigation, interrogations, evidence collection, neighborhood patrols, critical incident response, event management, drug investigations, and disaster preparedness. I also have solid administrative skills with experience developing and implementing policies and procedures. I’ve served as a hostage team negotiator and have specialized experience equivalent to the Federal GS-11 level.

A recognized proactive problem solver with sound judgment, I am an expert in emergency preparedness and overseeing security operations for public events. I excel at planning, always developing multiple contingency plans to ensure operational success. And, I was tapped to serve on the Emergency Management Policy Advisory Committee.

I take a collaborative approach to working with other law enforcement agencies as well as the general public. With strong relationship-building skills, I have worked with diverse populations to both investigate and prevent criminal activity.

I have just begun an adjunct teaching position at Frederick Community College where I’m able to share my knowledge and mentor potential new police recruits. I’ve also previously taught at the Frederick Police Academy, the Citizen Police Academy, and at local colleges.

I am eager to explore new challenges that will allow me to continue my long career of public service.
