EUROFINS EATON ANALYTICAL, the largest potable water testing laboratory in the US, has a Sample Receiving-Shipping Technician opening at our Pomona, CA Laboratory.
The Sample Receiving-Shipping Technician is responsible for shipment of all samples and bottle kits into and out of the laboratory, as well as all documentation and tracking procedures. Communicates turnaround times and issues with Project Managers. Responsible to receive and restock new supplies from vendors as well as housekeeping in warehouse areas. Maintains department in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) and provides input for process improvements. Assists with training new employees.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Prepares bottle kits daily to be shipped to clients to collect samples to be returned for analysis
Forwards samples to other laboratories to run tests that are not performed at that location
Maintenance and organization of the department daily to promote a clean and safe work environment.
Ships empty coolers back to clients and other laboratories as needed.
Stocks supplies daily and takes inventory to maintain proper levels.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent, College Degree preferred.
Must be familiar with MS Office programs such as Outlook, Explorer, Excel and Word. Database experience is not required but is a plus
