Job Summary:
As an Inventory Specialist you are responsible for conducting physical inventories across multiple locations. This role requires coordinating inventories with store managers, frequent travel to perform physical inventory counts, and maintaining a consistent process for inventory across multiple locations.
What You'll Do as an Inventory Specialist:
Conduct regular and when required physical inventory counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
Organize, label, and store products in designated areas to ensure accessibility and proper organization.
Perform routine audits to identify discrepancies and resolve inventory issues.
Travel to various locations as needed to complete inventory tasks, including occasional overnight travel.
Use appropriate equipment, such as pallet jacks, to assist in the movement of inventory.
Report inventory levels and any discrepancies to management and collaborate to resolve issues.
Ensure a clean and safe working environment in all areas where inventory is stored and managed.
Perform other related duties as required.
Your Qualifications:
Basic mathematical skills, with the ability to convert units of measure.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook). Willingness to learn new inventory management software and other systems as needed.
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and make decisions as needed.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
Ensures the smooth operation of inventory management systems, contributing directly to operational efficiency.

This position serves as an integral member of the inventory team to ensure records are accurate and discrepancies are accounted for within the department.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Responsible for weekly inventory counts of material groups, weekly scrap removal of all materials, and investigating discrepancies in inventory count.
Work with management to ensure that the BOMS in Traverse are current and accurate.
Assist with annual BOM review with management.

Verify physical counts with the system counts and adjust accordingly.
Perform full physical inventory of all locations annually or as needed by management.
Perform physical inventory count at all remote sites as well as onsite on a quarterly basis.
Ensure proper bin location of materials in warehouse.

PGT is seeking a Shipping/Receiving Technician for its Indianapolis, IN location.
Job Overview
As a Shipping / Receiving Technician, you will be responsible for shipping and receiving of production parts including physically loading & unloading trucks, load/unload a vacuum furnace, completing basic receiving transactions in Oracle, and operate a forklift. You will also support the heat treat and recycling processes. Our success depends on our teamwork and accountability.
Responsibilities
* Adhere to safety expectations, and recognize and report any unsafe practices or work conditions
* Regular and predictable attendance is a requirement and essential function of all positions
* Retrieving production parts from inspection and preparing parts for shipment
* Loading & Unloading trucks for both production parts and plant supplies
* Unwrapping parts, verifying container count and completing visual damage inspection
* Load/Unload vacuum furnace, verify load meets required parameters
* Scheduling freight pick up for production parts, recycling and other plant needs
* Operating plant forklift for deliveries, shipments and other plant needs
* Maintaining a clean and organized dock area, adherent to 5S standards
* Performing other duties as assigned
* Serve as a backup for invoicing specialist
Qualifications
* High School degree or GED is required
* Experience working in a production/manufacturing and/or plant environment is required
* Shipping / Receiving experience desired
* Able to operate forklift truck and other S/R equipment
* Able to follow detailed written instructions
* Perform intermediate computer skills (Excel, Word, and Oracle desired)
* Perform basic math
* Capable of lifting up to 40lbs
* Working extended hours and/or weekends may be required
* Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, hand and finger manipulation, occasional stooping, crouching, and climbing

Traffic Clerk (9am-5pm)

SUMMARY: Responsible for organizing and maintaining shipments using both WMS and Novotran TMS; coordinating driver appointments and loading; and creating and communicating the appropriate shipment paperwork using the DocuWare system. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Check carrier report - fax and call carriers, make necessary changes to routing.
* Sort and match bills of lading from previous day.
* Review Exception and #MAN orders and make the necessary adjustments.
* Determine loads to be consolidated while maintaining delivery dates.
* Provide spot quotes upon request using the Novotran TMS.
* Enter PRO numbers into mainframe and make any necessary changes.
* Prepare documentation for loading trucks.
* Send Truckload carriers pickup information such as pallet counts, PO's, weights, etc.
* Retrieve information on the computer or from files for customer service.
* Route shipments via customer websites when necessary.
* Special projects as assigned.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Front desk coverage and as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Equivalent to at least a high school education plus specialized courses and 1-3 years of experience.
