You will be responsible for unloading trucks, unpacking shipments, and performing detailed receipts for pharmaceutical components and drug products. A Day in the Life:
Unload, unpack, and process receipts on all inbound product deliveries, reporting all receipt discrepancies and supporting documentation.
Accurately and safely store all incoming deliveries, including refrigerated and frozen receipt containers.
Perform quality checks on received bulk drugs.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent experience is required.
Experience:
Minimum of 1 year of work experience in distribution, warehouse, supply chain, or related field.
Preferred: Experience with powered industrial trucks (order pickers).
Physical Requirements / Work Environment:
- Monday - Friday 7:00AM-3:30PM schedule.
Extended periods of walking and standing.
Capability to bend, reach, and lift a minimum of 40lbs or possess equivalent experience in handling similar physical requirements.

Compensation and Benefits
The hourly pay range estimated for this position based in Illinois is $18.00-$20.00.

Job Function
The Shipping and Receiving Technician is responsible for shipping, receiving, and tracking all members samples according to the standard process. Must be able to research and resolve sample related issues in an efficient manner. Required to understand how the lab works and tasks involved within the lab. Assist Laboratory Prep Technician with the preparation of samples for testing.
Job Responsibilities
Responsible for the management of samples from receipt, preparation of testing, inventory and preparation of shipping or disposal
Communicate with members, trucking companies and internal staff on the shipping and receiving of samples and addressing any concerns.
Complete all required paperwork related to the receiving, preparation, and shipping of samples
Inspect for damage and proper signage and communicate any deficiencies to laboratory management
Enter sample information into the appropriate systems
Work with lab technicians to ensure samples are ready and available for the start of testing and in the correct location
Assist Laboratory Prep Technician with construction of plenum boards and ducts for testing of samples
Maintain the sample storage areas
Develop inventory reports and lead the periodic inventories of the sample storage area
Education and Experience
High school diploma or GED equivalency
Ability to use a variety of hand and power tools in a safe manner
Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office and other programs as required
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Work Environment & Physical Demands
The work environment is typical of an industrial laboratory or warehouse
