We are looking for a Customer Service Warehouse Assistant to join our team! The role of Customer Service Warehouse Assistant is to help facilitate efficient traffic movement of loads that Allen Lund Company is assigned. As an on-site employee at one of our customer's warehouses, professionalism and strong communication with the San Francisco team is essential. If this is you, or you like a challenge- let's talk.
You will
Assist drivers in navigating the Fremont, NE yard
Communicate both verbally and electronically with drivers
Start reefer units
Clean out trailers as necessary
Follow all safety requirements
Maintain up to date load status at all times
Updates trucks on the road of any status changes
Insure carrier arrival times at depot
Communicate verbally and electronically
Work closely with the San Francisco team
Other General Areas of Responsibility
Inspect refrigerated trailers and ensure that they are safe and ready
Red tag any unsafe trailers and maintain work areas clean at all times
Follow the established inspection procedures and complete inspection sheet for each trailer
Work schedule: Mon-Fri, 6:00 am - 3:00 pm
Skills and Experience
Self-motivated, enthusiastic team player who excels in a fast-paced environment
Experience in warehouse/yard/customer service/freight brokerage is a plus
Excellent and effective communication skills
Strong customer service orientation and excellent work ethic
Ability to quickly process information and make decisions

Brief Summary
In addition to all Shipper A duties this individual contributor position is responsible for loading of pipe and tubing, as per shipping orders and pick sheet. Responsible for the checking of the proper identification of material being shipped by size, gauge, length, count and quality. Operates the fork lift, side loader, shag truck, banding tools, and operates the 353 magnetic cranes on a rotation basis.
Essential Functions
* Load pipe and tubing per shipping orders and pick sheet
* Accurately process bills of lading, shipping orders, and other paperwork as required
* Operate various equipment including forklift, side loader, shag truck, banding tools, and magnetic crane
* Perform mag crane safety checks as required including inspection of rails, wheels, and condition of cables
* Report any unsafe conditions to supervisor
* When operating 353 mag cranes, keep accurate count of pipe loaded and unloaded and record size and gauge handled
* Handle scrap from all departments as required and control the flow of Alter scrap trailers
* Assist with cycle counts and material handling moves from staging to storage
Important Details
* This position is also responsible for reporting any unsafe conditions to supervisor
* Perform mag crane safety checks as required including inspection of rails, wheels, and condition of cables
* This position reports into the Shipping Supervisor and has no direct reports and no indirect reports
Required Qualifications of Every Candidate (Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities)
* Three (3) years relevant shipping or loading experience
* Ability to accurately read tape measures and micrometers
* Ability to stand 90% of time
* Able to work outside in extreme heat or cold
* Able to climb onto flatbed trailers 10' to 13'
* Able to operate forklift overhead cranes, shag truck, hand and banding tools
* Must be accurate in logging inventory transactions

Key Responsibilities
Pick customer orders accurately from inventory based on order sheets and system instructions
Receive inbound shipments and verify accuracy against packing slips or purchase orders
Package customer orders to XOTIC PC's strict packaging and protection standards
Ship high-performance desktops, laptops, and accessories with care and precision
Unpack and inspect incoming products for damage or discrepancies
Stock and downstock warehouse inventory on shelving
Use ladders safely to place or retrieve product on high shelves
Break down boxes and maintain a clean, organized workspace
Use carts and transport equipment to move packages and components safely
Assist in palletizing larger shipments
Lift and carry items weighing up to 50–60 lbs
Receive forklift operation training (forklift experience is a plus!)
