Scope of Position: Receives, stores, and distributes material, tools, equipment, and products within establishment by performing the following duties. Responsibilities include: * Reads Finished Product Load Tag, Shipper, or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed. * Conveys materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or to other designated areas. * Fills requests for materials, tools, or other stock items and distributes items to production co-workers. * Assembles customer orders and sometimes places orders on pallets or conveys orders to shipping department. * Marks materials with identifying information. * Opens bales, crates, and other containers. * Records amounts of materials or items received or distributed. * Weighs or counts items for distribution within plant to ensure conformance to company standards. * Drives forklift to transport items within the plant. * Loads finished product on trailers. * Reports potential any potential safety hazards to supervisor immediately and complies with required health protocols. * Handles incoming and outgoing shipping activities to ensure accuracy, completeness, condition of shipments and compliance to customer's requirements. * Inspects material handling equipment for defects and notifies maintenance personnel. * Performs other duties and/or responsibilities as assigned.
