Job Responsibilities
Responsible for receiving and inspecting products, accurately labeling items and reporting any discrepancies in reconciliation of deliveries and invoices.
Responsible for organizing and storing all incoming products in assigned locations, applying FIFO (first in, first out) inventory controls for perishable products.
May require training and operation of a manual pallet jack, electric pallet jack, and/or forklifts.
Picks inventory to assemble orders of product, supplies and equipment for requisitions or established par levels.
Follow all Standard Operating Procedures to meet accuracy and production standards.
Load, unload and transport products and materials to different areas of the warehouse and/or other client locations. May require use of carts, powered industrial vehicles (PIV), or motor vehicles.
Responsible for conducting routine physical inventory counts based on established location schedules.
Accurately complete administrative duties including records such as inventory count documents, temperature and spoilage logs, equipment inspections, and any other relevant business records. This may be on paper or in a technology-based system (hand-held device or PC).
Clean work areas as assigned, including but not limited to restrooms, break areas, loading dock, freight elevator and freight platform delivery areas when applicable.
Implement all location safety policies, OSHA requirements, SDS standards, and emergency procedures. Use all required safety equipment and personal protective equipment.
Takes appropriate measures to ensure the security of client and company assets.
Interact with clients, employees, vendors, customers, and guests about business-related activities and attend meetings, as required.

Primary Purpose
PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION
Executes basic Stores Department functions, which includes the management and physical control of materials. Provides outstanding customer service to internal and external customers in the safest manner possible.
Primary Duties
PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
Performs basic Stores Department functions, which includes the receiving, shipping, issuing, crediting, transferring, handling, storage, and maintenance of the inventory. Creates, updates, and deletes bin locations to facilitate inventory accuracy and efficient cycle counting.
Load/unload and handle materials as required and safely place them into various types of storage locations at various heights.
Drives vehicles/equipment (i.e., truck, van, forklift, etc.) for transporting materials and supplies to designated locations/sites.
Performs basic activities relating to the collection, separation, and removal of the Company's salvage and scrap materials.
Performs routine manual assignments in conjunction with assisting higher classified employees while performing their assigned duties.
Performs general housekeeping functions necessary to maintain a safe and orderly work environment (i.e., sweeping, removing older/deteriorated stock, picking up banding, junk pallets, trash, cardboard, etc.).
Participates in physical inventories and cycle counting activities as required.
Maintains accurate recordkeeping of the inventory. Completes material transactions using paper as well as computerized systems (PC's and handheld devices).
Maintains and completes Stores related files, documents, requisitions, forms, records, and reports as required or directed. Verifies the accuracy of work for all necessary and required paperwork.
Assists other Company personnel and contractors as required.
Inspects work area(s) and equipment. Performs the necessary safety checks prior to starting work assignments.
Uses hand tools to erect, install, and/or fabricate shelving, bins, cabinets, or similar items in the Stores area(s).
Performs other directed assignments as required.
Responsible for Environmental and SOX compliance.
Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Possess a working knowledge of warehousing operations and procedure
Experience driving/operating a fork truck and pallet jacks (manual and electric).
Possess a valid jurisdictional driver's license.
Willingness to effectively operate all types of material handling equipment utilized by the Stores Department (i.e., forklifts, narrow aisle lift trucks, load handlers, guide-by reel coiling machine, hand trucks, etc.).
Ability to write, speak, read, comprehend and communicate clearly and accurately in the English language.
Ability to communicate and comprehend/follow verbal and written instructions.
Must possess High School Diploma or equivalent.
Must successfully pass required qualification tests.
Must successfully pass a Criminal History Records Check.
Ability to use measuring and hand tools.
Possess knowledge of basic math and conversion functions. Perform mathematical problems using decimals and common formulas.
Ability to perform physically challenging tasks for extended periods of time (for example, lifting up to 50 pounds, bending, twisting, kneeling, pulling/pushing, standing, walking, and squatting
Ability to ascend/descend steps and ladders to get on and off forklifts, trucks, and equipment.
Ability to climb ladders or stairs to pull/put material in/out of storage locations.
Ability to wear and use safety equipment as required by Federal, State, local and company regulations (for example, safety glasses, steel toed shoes, hard hat, work gloves, etc.).
Ability to follow all applicable company safety regulations.
Ability to work in a variety of work environments including outdoors in all weather conditions and in noisy and dirty environments, with proper personal protective equipment (PPE).
Ability to travel to various Company facilities and vendor locations as required.
Ability to work at various Company locations as required.
Ability to work non-standard hours, shift work and/or overtime as required consistent with the labor agreement.
Preferred Qualifications
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge of tools, equipment, and materials used in an electric utility environment.
Experience demonstrating skill completing paperwork requirements and setting up and maintaining a filing system.
Experience demonstrating skill providing customer service to internal and external customers.
Experience demonstrating skill using inventory/warehousing software.
Experience demonstrating skill using computer applications (email, internet, Word, Excel, etc.).
Experience demonstrating skill using bar codes/RFID systems.

Hourly rates will be paid in accordance with terms of the candidate's skills, qualifications, experience or collective bargaining agreement: $27.07/Hr.
