Title: Shipping/Receiving Warehouse Coordinator
Department: Shipping/Receiving
Location: Carbondale
Immediate Supervisor: Supply Chain Manager
Status: Non-Exempt
Position Purpose: Under the direction of the immediate Supervisor, performs duties related to receiving and shipping product and raw materials. Verifies merchandise and organizes its distribution. Prepares related documents. Maintains warehouse area.

Principle Accountabilities
1. Maintain daily safety regulations, procedures, and housekeeping.
2. Route and Reserve orders through IPG, software and third-party transportation systems.
3. Prepare labels, packing lists, and bill of ladings.
4. Ensure all special instructions on customer orders are followed.
5. Prepare and process invoices and samples.
6. Process vendor returns and data entry of maintenance purchase order receipts.
7. Inventory/Order warehouse and shipping/receiving supplies.
8. Coordinate with Customer Service; weight, dims and size of containers required for export and LCL shipments.
9. Coordinate with IPG's third-party transportation company all outbound truckload quantity shipments.
10. Schedule delivery appointments for inbound freight.
11. Verify material against shipping documents and lot numbers.
12. Submit certificate of conformance and certificate of analysis as instructed to Quality Control.
13. Correspond with CSRs for customer needs.
14. Participate in quarterly cycle count

Essential Skills and Experience
• High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) required; Prefer technical degree
• Three plus years related manufacturing experience required
• Strong technical skills and knowledge of manufacturing processes
• Advanced level of using Word, Excel, Outlook.

Key Responsibilities

  • Reads product processing form or follows oral instructions to ascertain materials or containers to be moved. Opens containers.
  • Loads materials into vehicles and installs strapping or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit.
  • Conveys materials from storage or work sites to designated area.
  • Counts, weighs, and records number of units of materials moved or handled on appropriate form. Receives incoming raw material.
  • Attaches identifying tags or labels to materials and makes I.D. tags from information provided by suppliers.
  • Prepares shipping documents i.e. BOL, manifests, packing slips, exporting documentation
  • Maintains shipping material inventory
  • Loads outgoing freight trucks.
  • Recharges batteries, fills fuel tank, or replaces propane tank for fork truck and pallet jack.
  • Follows all safety and housekeeping rules.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Working Conditions

  • Employee will be required to work in all areas of the plant.
  • Prolonged standing, crawling, kneeling and walking while performing job assignments.
  • Must be able to lift 45 lbs.
  • Safety toed/ slip resistant shoes, safety glasses and earplugs are required on the plant floor.
