Currently hiring a Warehouse Specialist to load, unload, receive, store and distribute inventory. Our Warehouse team members play a vital role in the daily operations of our facility. Check lot numbers and quantities to ensure orders are correct.
2.Organize; move and store scrap to upper levels. Sort scrap on a daily basis.
3.Organize finished goods by lot number and location for inventory purposes. Organize and/or move raw materials and shipping supplies within the designated areas as instructed by supervision.
4.Assist in daily and monthly inventory of all finished goods stored. Check weights on boxes; perform counts.
5.Be knowledgeable in all warehouse safety practices. This includes but is not limited to the safe operation of the forklift, trailer inspection, verification that chains are utilized across docks when not in use, and verification that wheels are chocked. Inform supervision of any safety deficiencies or equipment maintenance needs.
6.Complete daily receiving log each time a shipment is received documenting date of receipt, company name, item, lot numbers, invoice quantity, actual quantity, received by and location.
7.Perform all other tasks as assigned by supervisor.

Shipper/Receiver
Shipping and receiving coordinator job in Meridian, MS
_239 69th Avenue, Meridian, MS, USA_ | _Hourly_ | _Full Time_ Verifies and keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment. + Count, weigh, or measure items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records.
+ Keep inventory of shipping materials and supplies maintained.
+ Keep records of all materials and equipment that enter or leave the facility.
+ Unpack and examine incoming shipments, reject damaged items, record and report shortages and discrepancies, and correspond with shipper to rectify damages and shortages.
+ Receive and process defective items returned for replacement or credit.
+ Route checked incoming materials, supplies, or equipment to the stockroom, appropriate departments, or other areas.
+ Prepare products or materials for shipment.
+ Assemble shipping containers or select pre-assembled containers, and insert items to be shipped into containers, using spacers, fillers, and protective padding.
+ Recommend method of shipment and close and seal packages to be shipped.
+ Affix shipping labels, identifying information, and shipping instructions onto packed cartons or containers.
+ Post weights and shipping charges and affixes postage.
+ Examine outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications.
+ Prepare bills of lading and maintains documentation of goods shipped.
+ Maintain inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
+ Perform computer functions necessary to track various aspects of goods.
+ Collaborate with other departments to rectify shortages and correct errors.
+ Maintain clean, well-organized, and safe work area.
**Required Qualifications** - Required qualifications to effectively perform the job. An equivalent combination of education, training and experience will be considered. (Additional requirements may be designated by position.)
+ This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
+ Ability to obtain certification and safely operate forklift to transport materials.
+ Must have one to three years of related experience.

+ Proficient in Microsoft Office products - specifically Excel, and Outlook.
+ Critical thinker with exceptional attention to detail.

+ Ability to develop and maintain business relationships.
**Work Environment** - Environmental or atmospheric conditions commonly associated with the performance of the functions of this job.
+ General warehouse conditions. Exposed to high noise levels, dust, trip hazards, and outdoor varying weather and temperatures.
+ Personal Protective Equipment must be worn at all times include safety boots with metatarsal guards and eye protection safety glasses with side shields or goggles, and other PPE as required by area or job including hearing protection and gloves
