Equipment Operator I is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of simple automated assembly machines. This individual will ensure the continued operation of assembly machines through the interpretation of an appropriate response to machine faults and through infrequent alignment of stations and fixtures. This individual will perform simple, repetitive tasks associated with machine operation and will operate machines that require a low level of attentiveness. The operator is also responsible for ensuring that medical devices are assembled with the highest quality possible.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Locate and pull merchandise by matching item codes and numbers on the pick ticket against part number on the merchandise. Place merchandise in tote or stage bulk items in the appropriate area. When the order is completed, mark the tote by customer number and send down the conveyor.
Make sure all totes are labeled for the correct store and do not exceed 60 lbs.
Maintain DC standards for both accuracy and productivity when picking orders.
Consolidate and pack all stock order merchandise quickly and accurately so the order can be checked in efficiently by the customer.
Itemize all products not shipped in totes on the freight bill as soon as they are received. Make sure all freight bills are dated with the correct route and totaled at the day's end including hazardous material.
Operate handheld computers (RF units) and/or voice picking equipment at WMS DCs.
Check items off of the freight bill as they are loaded, making sure the number and types of items loaded match the freight bill total.
Load trucks quickly and accurately. Tie and secure freight as it is loaded onto the truck.
Keep picking zones supplied with totes as needed, and repair totes as needed.
Start printers as necessary and sort tickets and labels by zone.
Operate equipment for any outbound functions.
Keep the work area neat and clean, dispose of cardboard and trash properly.
Team members with experience may be designated as trainers. As a trainer, take ownership of the DC target training program ensuring that all training is conducted according to schedule, and that all documentation is complete. Explain specific job duties and functions to help ensure the success of new team members, as well as to convey any departmental or procedural changes to existing team members.
Maintain safety standards while operating and identify unsafe practices and situations.

The Shipping and Receiving Coordinator role requires a detail-oriented and organized individual to manage incoming and outgoing shipments. This role is critical in ensuring accurate inventory control, material availability, invoice reconciliation, timely shipping and receiving processes, and maintaining a smooth flow of materials into and out of the manufacturing facility.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the shipment and receipt of all products, materials, and supplies
Receive, inspect, and verify all incoming shipments against purchase orders or invoices
Prepare and pack outgoing shipments accurately, ensuring proper labeling and documentation.
Collaborate with internal Logistics Coordinator to arrange for movement of goods.
Work closely with Inventory Manager to do cycle counts and maintain inventory accuracy.
Log and document all received and shipped items in the inventory management system.
Coordinate with carriers for pickups, deliveries, and tracking of shipments.
Maintain a clean and organized shipping/receiving area.
Report and resolve shipping errors, damages, or shortages promptly.
Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, or other warehouse equipment (if certified).
Communicate effectively with other departments, suppliers, and logistics providers.
Keep files of goods shipped and received by preparing regular shipping and receiving reports for managers.
Handle issues arising in shipping or inventory handling.
Ensure adherence to environmental management policies and systems.
Location / Hours:
On site in Salt Lake City, UT. Day shift, 40 hours per week.
Qualifications & Skills:
High school diploma or GED required.
Previous experience in shipping and receiving or warehouse operations preferred.
Familiarity with inventory software, shipping systems (e.g., FedEx, UPS), and basic computer skills.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Strong sense of time organization and urgency.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods.
Forklift certification is a plus (or willingness to obtain).
Able to work independently and within a team.

SUMMARY: This job encompasses all aspects of material movement throughout the production facility including but not limited to any of the following: coordination of the movement of materials, actual material movement, and loading parts and final product for shipping. Loads and unloads trucks with incoming and outgoing materials or products. Moves and stores a variety of materials, parts or products. Checks incoming and outgoing materials and reports shortages or damaged materials. Moves material between departments using hand or power trucks, overhead cranes, over the road vehicles, or mobile cranes. Fills orders from storage areas and delivers to designated departments or locations. Stacks pallets and arranges material, adhering to safety guidelines when performing such work. Operates other equipment such as walking/overhead crane or hoist as necessary.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Tracks material, parts, etc. through designated area and coordinates movement of material, parts, and assemblies.
Updates computer as required.
Accountability for inventory accuracy.
May order material from suppliers using open P.O.
Manually of using fork lift, properly moves materials throughout the facility.
Properly loads and unloads trucks.
Prints lists of items to be shipped and checks order ensuring its accuracy.
Picks, boxes, and loads kits and other items for shipment - must protect and secure items.
Performs basic inventory transactions in the MRP computer system.
Loads final products on trucks/ trailers for shipment.
Relocates items to storage area and properly records these items when shipment is at a later date.
Complete all other requirements included in the matrix for this classification.
QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must have the potential to be able to perform each essential duty satisfactory. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or hire date prior to 5/10/96.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to read a tape measure to 1/16".
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Must be able to acquire the following licenses: forklift Must have a valid Utah Driver's License and be able to qualify to drive company motor vehicles.
COMPUTER SKILLS: Basic knowledge of pick lists, Syteline and other programs as necessary.
