Schedule & Shift Information: 2nd Shift (2:00 pm - 10:30 pm - Monday - Friday) Overview/Position Responsibilities: The Shipping Planner Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that all shipping/receiving documents and functions are completed accurately and on time, develop outbound/inbound freight schedules and communicates with internal/external customers as required with heavy interaction with the Transportation Department. Maintains other shipping records such as goods returned, returnable pallets and other shipping materials. Select appropriate shipping container; packs items to ensure safe delivery. Reconciles computer records with physical inventory according to established schedule. Enters receipt of goods into computerized inventory records, including item number, quantity, price, etc., according to instructions. Operate a dolly, pallet jack, and/or forklift in loading and unloading supplies and equipment. Spot-check inventory on a daily basis. Report any discrepancies to Supervisor over shipments when a substitution has been made. Provide advice regarding supplies or property including price and availability. Coordinate disposal of surplus property and manage record retention. Responsible for maintaining cleanliness of receiving area including loading dock and trash areas. Maximize work load through effective and proper procedures for receiving all products. JOB REQUIREMENTS (Skills, Knowledge, and abilities) Three to five years' experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse techniques, supervising people and processes. Two-year degree in related field or equivalent work experience. Ability to input data on computer to create a daily inventory report, routine administrative paperwork. Ability to perform assigned duties under frequent time pressures. Analyze and interpret departmental needs and results. Ability to read, sort, check, count, and verify numbers. Knowledge of postal or commercial shipping methods and procedures. Knowledge of OSHA Storage regulations for Hazardous Chemical labeling and ALL OSHA requirements. Ability to understand and follow safety procedures. Knowledge of Alcohol Beverage Control laws for local area. Knowledge of Health regulations, applicable OSHA regulations and Gaming regulations. Ability to lead, guide and train employees performing related work. Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid gaming license as determined by the Arkansas Racing Commission.
