The Warehouse Associate safely performs daily warehouse functions to help maintain and safe and positive work environment. The following details are not definitive and subject to change based on organizational needs.
*Essential Duties and Responsibilities*
· Ensuring the accuracy of all inbound freight into the building. This includes unloading trucks, checking in freight, putting the product away in its locations, and making sure that all associated paperwork is completed to company standard.
· Outbound freight including customer orders and branch transfers are to be picked, packed, and checked for accuracy prior to shipments.
· Each employee is designated an area of the warehouse that must be maintained to company standard on a day-to-day basis. This includes down stocking of product, facing of material, closed boxes or cut tops, removal of excess plastic. Aisles must be swept of all debris and pallets lined in their locations.
· Must communicate effectively with customers and provide superior service.
· Ability to manage time in a deadline-driven environment and strong ability to multitask and skill in prioritizing work.
· Basic math skills are sufficient to manage inventory, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
· Ability to use computer systems and manual procedures for organizing and identifying products and communicating with coworkers.

Qualifications
* "Hands-on" self-starter with ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
* Demonstrated ability to manage inventory levels.
* Maintains accuracy and attention to detail at all times and completes tasks in a timely manner.
* Ability to use basic hand-held tools and inspection equipment to support receiving inspection activities.
* Forklift training required.
Physical Requirements
* Ability to bend, stoop, squat, kneel, and lift up to 50 pounds. Team lift or mechanical assistance required for objects over 50 pounds.
* Perform keyboard entries with possible frequent operation of a computer.
* Ability to use power tools as needed.
* As needed to comply with safety requirements - need to wear safety equipment such as cut resistant gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, steel toe and slip resistant shoes.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Receive merchandise into warehouse area.
Cross check quantities to packing slip, making corrections as necessary.
Safe operation of merchandise handling equipment.
Responsible for accurate allocation of merchandise to splitting area or department.
Load merchandise onto proper truck for shipment, shrink wrap when necessary.
General maintenance of equipment.
Practice safety in the workplace by using safe work habits.
Other duties as assigned.
