The Position
The Specialist I, Shipping and Receiving is responsible for executing a broad range of shipping and receiving activities at Arrowhead Pharmaceuticals' San Diego site. This role includes the receipt, inspection, documentation, and storage of inbound materials, as well as the preparation and verification of outbound shipments.
The Associate will maintain accurate shipping and receiving records and support inventory control activities to ensure materials are readily available to meet operational needs. This position works closely with scientific and operational teams to support efficient laboratory and site operations through organized material handling and inventory management.
Responsibilities
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the receiving dock areas and chemical warehouse; remove empty pallets, packaging materials, and other items as needed
Maintain inventory and organization of LAR supplies as needed.
Receive shipments at the dock from vendors and appropriately document receipt per company procedures and policies. Notify appropriate individuals when packages have been received
Distribute packages, drums, and chemicals to proper lab and/or storage areas. Ensure materials are placed into the proper temperature-controlled unit
Operate material handling equipment (e.g. hand truck, pallet jack, dock lever, etc.)
Communicate effectively with all necessary individuals onsite of received and outgoing packages.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent, with preference for a technical degree or additional post-high school education
Previous experience completing tasks using basic hand tools and equipment related Shipping/Receiving
Able to work independently or as part of a team
Ability to follow company procedures, work instructions, and policies
Work in a safe manner; properly handle materials and chemicals

Basic computer and data entry skills
