Opportunity The Shipping & Receiving Clerk position verifies and keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment by performing the following duties to quality and productivity standards. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES * Receives incoming shipments against established purchase order, unpacks as directed, examines and routes to appropriate area, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with shipper to rectify damages and shortages. * Provide constant inspection of product being received to ensure quality specifications are being met (count, weight, cost, expirations, etc.). * Reports defective materials or questionable conditions to leadership. Document and return for credit. * Price and label product, as directed. * Maintain inventory of shipping materials and supplies. * Carries or utilizes hand trucks or carts to convey, move or hoist materials to proper departments or areas. Inform final department of any shortages. * Performs all computer functions necessary to track various aspects of goods. * Responsible for making arrangements for pick up by the carrier specified on the customer's purchase order and preparing outgoing shipments accordingly for safe handling and necessary documentation. * May be required to make pick-ups and deliveries to our outlets using a company vehicle. * Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations. * Ensure food safety and sanitation requirements are maintained for applicable receiving and storage areas. * Support inventory processes through applicable software. * Oversee pricing and look for pricing discrepancies. * Support outside cleanup - i.e. snow removal, laying salt, and any lawn/garden needs. KI's manufacturing plant in Bonduel is currently looking for a 2nd Shift Receiving Technician for our High Pressure Laminate (HPL) Wood Table Tops Department. If you have a safe driving record, experience with warehousing and inventory, this opportunity has your name written all over it! You will need to inspect product load for accuracy and safely transport it around the warehouse or facility using a forklift to ensure timely and complete delivery. Manually or mechanically load or unload materials from pallets, skids, platforms, cars, lifting devices, or other transport vehicles. Load and unload warehouse racking safely. Verify and receive inventory utilizing a computerized MRP system. * Employees must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. * Must be able to accurately type on a computer keyboard and read a tape measure. * Employee will pick parts for production, look up locations on the CRT and complete transfers within the system. * Must be able to operate or willing to obtain a forklift and hand pallet jack license. * Must have attention to detail, organization and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. * Must be able to unload core and laminate trucks. * Assist with production as needed. This is a second shift opening. Hours are primarily 2pm-12am Monday - Thursday, with overtime and weekends required during peak production. There is also a $2.00 shift differential.
