Job Description:
Packaging and marking outgoing shipments in conformance with military, company, or customer requirements and standards
In this Function You Will:
Operate UPS and FedEx shipping/labeling equipment
Record keeping of outgoing shipments
Pack all material per standard work and work instructions using various supplies to assure safe handling during shipment
Prepare shipping documents, mailing labels, and ensure orders are filled correctly
Accurately address and label packages, look up and compute freight/postal rates, and record the weight and cost of each shipment
Prepare commercial invoices and furnish information about shipments to other parts of the company, e.g., finance
Verify content of incoming shipments against the original order and the accompanying bill of lading or invoice
Record shipments and condition of contents
Barcode inventory at receiving point
Check shipments for any discrepancies in quantity, price, and discounts
Movement of properly transacted receipts
Arrange for adjustments with shippers whenever merchandise is lost or damaged
Control all receiving platform operations, weight, and charges on all incoming and outgoing freight
Responsible for accurate physical receiving of materials/products to maintain inventory control integrity
Work within an ERP system to enter data and close receipts and shipments
Ensure delivery of materials/product to the proper department
Comply and uphold *** Aerospace SHE policies and standards
Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Working knowledge of stockroom, shipping, receiving, and inspection processes
Ability to communicate well internally and externally at all levels in the organization
Good organization skills with attention to detail
Handheld inventory scanner experience
Access to technology, materials, software, or hardware controlled by export laws of the US
Must be a US citizen or Permanent Resident
Experience with computerized inventory tracking systems (MRP, ERP)
Experience with hydraulic lifts, pallet jacks, and walking power lift operations
Preferred Skills:
