Coordinate's shipping processes including appropriate paperwork, scheduling of trucks and staging information as needed. The individual in this role is detail oriented ensuring products are shipped and received according to bill of lading and packing slips. This position collaborates with management and manufacturing personnel ensuring an excellent product to the customer ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Examine shipment contents within 24 hours of receipt and compare with records, such as manifests, invoices, or orders, to verify accuracy.
Record shipment data with 98% accuracy (such as weight, charges, space availability, damages, or discrepancies) for reporting, accounting, and recordkeeping purposes.
Daily prepare documents (such as work orders, bills of lading, or shipping orders) to route materials.
Confer or correspond with establishment representatives within 24 hours to rectify problems, such as damages, shortages, or nonconformance to specifications to determine corrective actions that will best serve the mission of the organization.
Pack, seal, label, or affix postage to prepare materials for shipping, using hand tools, power tools, or postage meter. Ensure 98% accuracy.
Contact carrier representatives to make arrangements or to issue instructions for shipping and delivery of materials.
Deliver or route materials to departments using hand truck, forklift or sorting bins while ensuring all safety standards are met 100%.
Requisition and store shipping materials and supplies to maintain weekly inventory of stock.
Determine shipping methods, routes, or rates for materials to be shipped. Research and compare the most cost-efficient methods and routes while still ensuring the integrity of the organization and the least environmental impact.
Coordinate truck scheduling with Plant Manager and Office Manager or their designee.
Compute amounts (such as space available, shipping, storage, or demurrage charges) using computer or price list. Ensure 98% accuracy.
Oversees the shipping staff to ensure standards are being met and work with management to resolve personnel problems.
Responsible for staff development.
Verify inventory computations by comparing them to physical counts of stock weekly and investigate discrepancies or adjust errors. Determine a plan of action to prevent discrepancies and determine necessary training to prevent future errors.
Keep record of and dispose of damaged or defective items or return them to vendors within 48 hours.
Daily clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas to ensure compliance with safety regulations. Immediately report any safety concerns.
Daily prepare and maintain records and reports of inventories, price lists, shortages, shipments, expenditures, and goods used or issued.
Conduct daily forklift and hand tool maintenance checks. Request maintenance and retraining as needed to ensure safe driving and operation of forklifts.
Safely and efficiently create a work environment that enables an efficient flow of materials and products into and out of the facility. Responsible for performing all work tasks in a safe manner and in accordance with organizational safety policies and requesting maintenance as needed.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.

The Inventory Specialist will follow all programs, procedures, requirements, practices, and safety with no exceptions.
The Inventory Specialist will work in conjunction with all departments, including the scheduling department, production, and supply chain to enhance the overall quality and business system. It is the responsibility of the Inventory Specialist to ensure materials are located and accounted for correctly in the company's ERP system. It is also their responsibility for changes to any material handling processes they are involved in when needed. The Inventory Specialist
will provide themselves for some of the items listed below.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Include the following. Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.
• Complete monthly, weekly, and daily lists of inventory cycle counts
• Assist all departments in the locating of requested items(WH Manager approval)
• Assist in any total physical inventory process
• Be proficient in the use of the ROSS ERP system and any devices used in conjunction with the system
• Conduct cycle counts in offices and warehouses.
• Exchange/return expired products.
• Lead inventory initiatives, process improvement, and streamline inventory processes.
• Utilize reports to monitor proper inventory levels and adjust accordingly.
• Assist in training of inventory specialists on ROSS ERP and hand scanners
• Monitor ROSS for errors
• Monitor all expired products.
• Typical duties will include, but will not be limited to: directing and advising the daily activities of a team of inventory associates.
• Ensuring that new and experienced employees perform duties with a high degree of safety, service and quality.
• Provide proper training and development for inventory associates.
• Ensure workflow for the facility meets performance expectations and that all raw materials are available for production.
• Provide basic feedback to the team on performance. Know when to escalate issues to your manager for assistance.
Training, Education & Experience:
• Training for the position of Inventory Specialist will consist of the same training that new hires receive, i.e., HACCP, Retort, Food Science, Safety, Food Safety, and Pest Control
• Preferred education for this position is a 2-year degree (preferred), but will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis situation and some education with experience may be in lieu of.
• Experience in Warehouse, Inventory management, production, and/or food-beverage environment is preferred.

The Shipping Coordinator is responsible for creating a safe and organized work environment that allows for the efficient flow of materials and products into and out of the organization. The shipping coordinator oversees the shipping staff to receive, store and issue materials as needed for efficient product production. Coordinate's shipping processes including appropriate paperwork, scheduling of trucks and staging information as needed. The individual in this role is detail oriented ensuring products are shipped and received according to bill of lading and packing slips. This position collaborates with management and manufacturing personnel ensuring an excellent product to the customer ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Examine shipment contents within 24 hours of receipt and compare with records, such as manifests, invoices, or orders, to verify accuracy.
Record shipment data with 98% accuracy (such as weight, charges, space availability, damages, or discrepancies) for reporting, accounting, and recordkeeping purposes.
Daily prepare documents (such as work orders, bills of lading, or shipping orders) to route materials.
Confer or correspond with establishment representatives within 24 hours to rectify problems, such as damages, shortages, or nonconformance to specifications to determine corrective actions that will best serve the mission of the organization.
Pack, seal, label, or affix postage to prepare materials for shipping, using hand tools, power tools, or postage meter. Ensure 98% accuracy.
Contact carrier representatives to make arrangements or to issue instructions for shipping and delivery of materials.
Deliver or route materials to departments using hand truck, forklift or sorting bins while ensuring all safety standards are met 100%.
Requisition and store shipping materials and supplies to maintain weekly inventory of stock.
Determine shipping methods, routes, or rates for materials to be shipped. Research and compare the most cost-efficient methods and routes while still ensuring the integrity of the organization and the least environmental impact.
Coordinate truck scheduling with Plant Manager and Office Manager or their designee.
Compute amounts (such as space available, shipping, storage, or demurrage charges) using computer or price list. Ensure 98% accuracy.
Oversees the shipping staff to ensure standards are being met and work with management to resolve personnel problems.
Responsible for staff development.
Verify inventory computations by comparing them to physical counts of stock weekly and investigate discrepancies or adjust errors. Determine a plan of action to prevent discrepancies and determine necessary training to prevent future errors.
Keep record of and dispose of damaged or defective items or return them to vendors within 48 hours.
Daily clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas to ensure compliance with safety regulations. Immediately report any safety concerns.
Daily prepare and maintain records and reports of inventories, price lists, shortages, shipments, expenditures, and goods used or issued.
Conduct daily forklift and hand tool maintenance checks. Request maintenance and retraining as needed to ensure safe driving and operation of forklifts.
Safely and efficiently create a work environment that enables an efficient flow of materials and products into and out of the facility. Responsible for performing all work tasks in a safe manner and in accordance with organizational safety policies and requesting maintenance as needed.
Required to be a team player and collaborate with various departments to meet customer satisfaction
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for overseeing shipping staff and material handlers.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
One to Three months experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge of Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAM) software, preferred.
Knowledge of ERP system, preferred.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office (word, outlook and excel), preferred.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Driver's License, preferred.
Forklift certification, required.
