Perform the physical and administrative tasks involved in storing and distributing materials, parts and supplies. Ensure security and accountability of inventory through transaction documentation, process and procedure verification and system review. Analyze and make recommendations on proper material levels, lead cycle counts and correct discrepancies. Reports to supervisor.
Requirements:
To prepare material that is received in for the Post-Sale warehouse prior to put away Reports to Supervisor/Manager Materials Management
Quality checks are performed on all estimated material. Estimated material is placed on skids called stages, which can be one or two items (bulk) or multiple items (mixed), prior to distribution to Warehouse locations
Sign-in jobs at dock/bay stations. When deliveries arrive, the material is verified (correct address, box count, etc.) and signed into the Receiving Delivery Log for future reference.
Estimate material shipped from all vendors, counting by hand (under 100pcs) or scale (over 100pcs), inputting necessary information (count, book date, box count, etc.) on the estimators receipt.
Process small packages; deliver packages to necessary areas. Small packages are opened and reconciled to pack slip/Bill of Lading. They are then estimated as handled above and/or delivered to addressee.
Deliver and schedule material deliveries via HUB truck to/from Edgewood I/Harbor Building/TMG/Smartmail.
Prepare for all client and management related tours
Lead by example to temporary staff, providing consistent motivation & professionalism..
Consistently focuses on client needs, suggesting business changes that will benefit the operation..
Accountable for all special handling courier packages (overnight/next-day air), and their respective delivery.
Ensures conformity to all ISO related processes and documentation.
Keep staff engaged following the current departmental Q12 action plan.
Maintain appearance of Receiving docks. Ensure organization and cleanliness of area.
Qualifications:
High School or equivalent work experience in Fulfillment Operations
2+ to 5 years experience
OSHA licensed machine operation
Ability to stand and work throughout duration of assigned shift skills
Flexibility in work schedule that is based on Production volumes which could require weekends and holidays
Promote a professional work environment and adhere to all Broadridge's policies
Requires standing for long periods of time; stooping and kneeling; lifting to waist up to 20 pounds

**You Must Have:**
+ Previous shipping/receiving/inventory experience
+ Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to twenty-five pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to fifty pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move more than seventy-five pounds (with assistance)
+ Self-motivated, able to work independently without close supervision, and have a team mentality
+ Ability to learn quickly and demonstrated multi-tasking capabilities
+ Strong work ethic, do what it takes to get the job done-approach while maintaining high business ethical standards

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
As our Shipping and Receiving Specialist, you oversee critical logistics operations, managing both inbound and outbound materials. Your day involves accurately gathering products and documentation, packing items for shipment, and completing final inspections in accordance with order specifications. You unload and verify shipments against purchase orders, noting any damage or shortages. Safety is a priority as you supervise dock activities and ensure compliance with regulations. Additionally, you use technology to track goods, generate packing lists and Certificates of Compliance, manage vendor purchase orders, and maintain inventory and shipping supplies.
OUR IDEAL SHIPPING AND RECEIVING SPECIALIST:
High school diploma or equivalency
One year of factory-related experience in shipping and receiving
A valid driver's license, auto insurance, and registration
Good verbal and written communication skills
Knowledge of basic computer operations and related hardware
Basic knowledge of general shop layout, item identification, procedures, and storage areas
Willingness to work in a team environment
Skills and ability to operate a forklift, manual dollies, manual platform lifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, and hand tools used in shop operations
Ability to learn software programs related to warehouse operations (e.g., ERP software, Office 365)
Ability to stock, move, arrange, and rotate shop/warehouse items
Ability to prepare and complete forms or enter data
Ability to identify apparent damage to equipment and materials through visual inspection
Ability to do some heavy lifting
Ability to follow verbal instructions and use basic math skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Forklift training certificate
Experience with aerospace or defense industry shipping and receiving operations
Familiarity with inventory control procedures
Knowledge of inventory management systems and practices
AS9100 or ISO 9001 quality management system knowledge or experience
Experience with ERP systems and inventory tracking software
