About the Job
The Part-Time Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for the store's day to day inventory tasks, which includes inventory counts, quality checks of incoming products, labeling and organization of inventory. About Fleet Management Department
The Fleet Management Department (also known as "Central Shops") provides fleet services to over 70 City departments with a combined municipal fleet of approximately 8,000 units. Central Shops is responsible for asset management, maintenance and repairs, motor pools, fueling services, vehicle acquisitions and disposals, equipment specification writing, fueling, and more. Role description
Under general supervision, the Parts Storekeeper performs responsible work involving the receipt, inspection, rotation, storage, inventory, ordering, and issuing of a wide variety of automotive, heavy equipment, small machinery, off highway equipment, and/or transit vehicle parts.
Essential functions of the classification include:
* Issuing automotive or transit parts and related materials; assisting in identifying needed items through the use of parts catalogs and materials management/computer systems;

Full Description Summary: A Receiving Staffer plays a critical role in the daily operation of our store, delivering seamless execution of the merchandise received according to company standards. A workday consists of varied responsibilities such as loading and unloading delivery trucks, unpacking and censoring new products, prepping them for the sales floor. You'll be one of the first to see the new product as it arrives, help receive all inbound deliveries, and prep all outgoing products. You work directly with the Lead and Management team to ensure the day-to-day operations and expectations of the department are being met and the daily task list and projects are completed in a timely manner with a positive attitude. Depending on the needs of the store, other duties may be assigned from time to time.

Receiving Duties
Work closely with your lead and manager to understand business goals.
Perform your duties (loading/unloading delivery trucks, receiving incoming product, hard-tagging, hanging, sku-tagging, delivering product to the floor, cycle counts, transfers, and/or fulfillment) accurately, safely, and according to company policy in a timely and efficient manner.
Maintain effective communication with team members and buyers through email and verbal communication.
Remain flexible and adaptable to change as other duties may be assigned depending on the needs of the business.
Occasional truck driving duties
Staff Experience:
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment for customers and staff.
Efficiently prioritize and execute daily tasks/goals, projects to achieve organizational goals in a timely manner independently or as a team.
Business Experience
Stay up-to-date with all company information and quickly implement department initiatives.
Qualifications
Qualifications
Previous warehouse or industry experience (preferred, but not required).
A self-starter and understands how to prioritize daily workload.
Detail-oriented and multitasking skills
Some computer skills.
Flexibility and adaptability as your role day to day might change.
Must be able to operate a pallet jack, lift 40 pounds, bend down repeatedly, and stand for the majority of a shift.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Good analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent time management, organization and administrative skills
Available to work before and during operating hours, which include most weekdays, weekends, and holidays (except Thanksgiving and Christmas).
Truck driving experience is a plus, but all candidates must be willing to learn and drive trucks on occasion.

YOUR ROLE
Part of a shared service center that operates for multi branches, the Customs Entry Specialist processes the Customs Entry in a timely manner and with accuracy.
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
* Assist with the design and development and maintain the in-house inventory management program
* Support the daily, weekly, monthly cycle count program for the site ensuring compliance to SLA requirements
* Support the Replenishment/Slotting team
* Identify and assist with resolving inventory discrepancies
* Assist with planning and undertaking periodic (annual) wall-to-wall physical inventory count
* Generate and analyze reports from the inventory management system for management
* Follow company policies/procedures and Quality/safety/HR related policies and procedures.
* Ensuring daily reporting of operational/quality requirements are completed.
* Stacking goods in the correct storage bays, following inventory control instructions
* Performing special projects as required by the Inventory Control Supervisor.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
Education and Experience:
* Must have at least 2 years' experience in an operations or distribution environment with specific experience in inventory management
* Must have experience with WMS
* Must possess a valid Raymond Reach operator license
* Must possess a valid High Order Picker Operator License
* A College Diploma is required, with a background in logistics/supply chain will be a plus
* Must have excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to interact with customers and employees.
* Must possess problem solving, conflict resolution, decision making and planning/organizing skills.
* Excellent written/oral communication and excellent listening skills.
* Ability to multi-task and excellent time management and computer skills.
* Must be creative and possess the ability to think outside the box.
* Must be able to work afternoons and nights
* Must be legally able to work in Canada
Skills:
* Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office, internet, web-based and job specific software applications.
* Fluent in English, both written and oral
